..So are the Sims games produced in this country or in America? I'm intruiged- EA came to our uni last year to give a presentation. I know you guys do Burnout over here, we saw the video of people smashing up cars and recording jet engines Or are they holding a similar day in all their offices?

I'm so unbelievebly tempted... But I will have to check dates etc. seeing as I still have 5 A2 modules sometime in January. With any luck it will be a day when I'm on study leave or a schedueled day of home study. Surrey should be accesable for me, I'm less than an hour to London sooo... I shall go and findeth my Diary

The middle of the UK is around Rotherham, Sheffield, Doncaster and Rotherham. Or Manchester..

I'd love to go (seen as Chertsey isn't that far away from me) but I'm too young.

That would be a good idea, Manchester is only an hour away for me too! But I have friends down south I can call upon. So depending on the times I might be able to go.

No promises on future venues, but like I say we are looking in to it. Right now we have a great office in Chertsey to use, those who have been here before will tell you its a pretty cool building

The E building?

What are the other offices like? The E building does sound/look like something the others wouldn't top - so why is it being closed ?

The FIFA offices in Canada are amazing, I prefer them

The office in Guildford is bigger than the "E", but both of them are only at half capacity. Doesnt make sense keeping two offices so close together when only one is needed. I will miss it though, its a nice place.

Yes its on a monday, unfortunately most events will be on working days as we bring along the producers, the press come along too.

Will we have the opportunity to chat to the producers on a casual level (like over lunch or when we're playing Freetime), or will they just be attending the more formal presentation? I'm incredibly tempted to come along!

Usually they will give a presentation, givng chance for a chat/question session after. We then usually hold a group lunch with the producer there but I dont now what the schedule will be for them this time. I can certainly get them to pop in while you are playing the game for a little casual chat.

How frustrating - 2 years ago I was at Royal Holloway University, which is very very near Chertsey - in fact I was even in the hospital at Chertsey for a few days. But I am back up in Suffolkshire now and as I don't drive it isn't so easy. But I have been threatening to visit friends down that way for a while now, so I might check out dates and see if it would be possible to combine a trip - it sounds like a great day.

Driving is probably easiest, we are just off junction 11 on he M25 and we have loads of visitor parking outside the office. There is a train station in Chertsey though as well as Woking which is close. But you will probably have to take a taxi from either of those to the office.
