Default Win a copy of Sims Teen Style Stuff pack!

Hey all,

We're giving away 2 copies of The Sims Teen Style pack to two lucky winners. To bag yourself a copy we want to see the best and worst looking teenager you can design in The Sims 2. We will then send out a copy of the Stuff pack to help change your Sims lives for the better.

We're allowing one entry per person but you are welcome to change your entry if you are unhappy with it. To keep things fair we are not allowing custom content to be used.

Terms and Conditions
Design a teenager and win a copy of the Sims Teen Style Stuff pack on PC

1. General

The opening time of the competition is Thursday 22nd November 2007 at 12:00 GMT, and the closing date and time for receipt of entries is Thursday 29th November 2007 at 09.30 GMT. Entries submitted after this time will not be considered.

2. Restrictions

This Prize Draw is open to UK residents aged thirteen ( 13 ) and over only. Employees (and members of their immediate family) of “Electronic Arts” (“EA”) are not eligible to enter.

To keep things fair we are not allowing the use of Custom content in this competition.

3. Rules to participate

No purchase of any goods or services is necessary to be eligible for entry into this Prize Draw.

For a chance to win, entrants must:

Post an image of their teenager on the EA UK Forums in the specified thread.
Only one 1 entry per person will be accepted.
All entries must be appropriate and suitable according to the forum rules.
No custom content is allowed to be used

4. Prizes

Two (2) winners will be chosen by the EAUK Admin team from all valid entries to each win a copy of The Sims Teen Style Stuff pack on PC.

Winners must reply by Private Message (PM) to claim their prize within 14 days of notification otherwise the claim becomes void and a new winner selected.
Odds of winning the prize depend upon the number of eligible entries.

There are no cash alternatives to this prize. It is as stated and is non-transferable. If due to circumstances beyond the control of Electronic Arts (EA), EA is unable to provide the stated prizes, EA reserves the right to award a substitute prize of equal value. All prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the Promoter.

5. Results

The two (2) winners will be notified by Private Message (PM) around Thursday 29th November 2007

If the winner of the prize cannot be traced after reasonable efforts have been made by EA, EA will be entitled to select an alternative winner from among the entrants.

A full list of who won will be available for four (4) weeks following the day of the selection of winners. This list can be obtained by writing to UK CRM Team, Sims Teen Stuff pack competition, Electronic Arts, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, KT16 0EU.

Any entry, which is damaged, corrupted, defaced, late, incomplete or otherwise does not comply with these rules, may be deemed invalid at the sole discretion of EA. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of delivery. EA cannot be held responsible for lost entries

If proof of age is requested, the prize shall not be dispatched unless proof of age is received and if satisfactory proof of age is not received, EA reserves the right to choose another winner.

Entrants agree that they may be required to take part in publicity without further consent or payment. Such publicity may include their names and/or likeness.

6. Data protection

In order to participate in the Prize Draw, participants must provide certain information on themselves. This personal information is collected and processed only for the purposes of organising, running and monitoring this Prize Draw, as well as for carrying out publicity activities on it. The organising entity shall be considered the data controller for the database containing this personal information.
By entering this Prize Draw, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material, which may be amended or varied at any time by EA.

In the event of a dispute, the decision of EA shall be final and legally binding. No correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter of this Prize Draw is Electronic Arts Ltd, 2000 Hillswood Drive, Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0EU.

This Prize Draw is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

As there has been some confusion, here are some updates to try and clarify:

Is Bodyshop Allowed?
Only items that came with the Sims or one of its expansion packs can be used.
If so how do I disable all my custom clothing so it doesnt get in my way or added by mistake?
I believe you can move custom content out of your download folder. However it is up to you to work out what you've downloaded.
Are we allowed to use Maxis Lost & Found things as they are actually not custom but just never made it to the final part of the game as such but can be found in the game files?
No just stick with what shipped with the game.
How many photos per entry are we allowed?
2, one for each Sim (see below)
Can I enter one of each? (ugly Sim and Pretty Sim)
Yes you can enter one of each.

Can I just clarify something? Are we making a pair of teens...one hideous and one amazing or just choosing one to make?

Also, are we free to use The Sims 2 Bodyshop, or are we restricted to in-game creation (Create-A-Sim, breeding)?

Not if the player has no custom content, and doesn't know how to make custom content.

Another question: If we use boolProp testingCheatsEnabled and Ctrl+N in Create-A-Sim to unlock secret costumes, accessories etc, would they be allowed or not?

How do you do this cheat then? I have never heard of secret costumes.

I love both of these sims shown so far they are both really funny! Keep em coming!

Well, they're not really secret, but hidden. When you type in the boolProp cheat in the neighborhood screen, then enter Create-A-Sim mode and press Shift+N (not Ctrl, my mistake) while typing out a name, you'll unlock the boolProp Create-A-Sim mode. You'll get access to hidden skins, costumes accessories etc, those hidden costumes being costumes of NPCs, or skins of Supernatural beings etc. Using it, you could dress up your Sim as a police officer, a social bunny, there's even a bag of chips hairstyle!
