Did you turn the console off while it was saving? This is the usual reason for corrupted saved data and, unfortunately, there isn't any way to get them back unless you backed them up at any point.

I'd recommend that you back up your save files every once in a while (I try to back up mine once a week). There's nothing worse than losing game data when you've put so much time and effort into a game.

Copy and save them to a memory device.

From the XMB: Game (×) - Saved Data Utility (×) - () Copy (×) - Select destination.

Saved game data can become corrupt on any console, not only on a PlayStation 3.

No problem, DdEhRangers. I really hope you'll never actually need to recover saved data after you've backed it up, but if you do encounter any more corrupt saved data, you'll know that you're 'covered.'
