Default SimCity 5000

SimCity 5000
Been dreaming about a new SimCity.....
Based on SimCity 4 & Rush Hour... SimCity as never before! 3D environment! Much better particle effects!
God Mode
God Mode is back and improved! Experience SimCity 4 + Rush Hour's disasters (and more) manually using them or with random location, with the option for them to happen automatically
Make Oil "underground lakes" (how were they called?) in God mode, then build oil rigs and sell the oil!
SimCity Societies' terrain generator is still here if you want a random terrain, and with an option to generate only lakes, rivers, and sea.
Mayor Mode
New energy sources like dams in rivers
More statistics in your interface, like the % of sims that are poor, NUMBER of unemployed inhabitants, number of citizens affected in an accident, divided by 1.total, 2.deaths, 3.citizens wlalalalaved to another city due to lack of conditions after the accident, and 4.citizens who stayed in the city. All of this shown in NUMBERS and %.
Also the number of came into and moved out of your city. You also have a population graph, in numbers for each month or year.
Also some useless statistics such as the 3 richest sims in your city and their fortune indicated.
Rush Hour's buildings are still here! Get a police helicopter with the Deluxe Police Station or a Fireman plane with the Fireman Landing Strip!
And... You can zone RCI drawing the limits of each property yourself (or automatically, like SC4) or you can plop each RCI like Societies.
Rush Hour's public transportation gone? No! They're still here, and made better!
Want more road options? More realistic and varied? You got them!
You can now build curved roads, highways, bridges and tunnels! And even better, you can elevate your roads and make a road above another one! No more of those horrible roads-must-cross problems.
The grid is smaller like SimCity Societies.
It can rain and snow! Snow causes problems in the city like traffic jams.
Sim Mode
Custom sim limit was increased to 10;
You can still drive cars and pilot planes and ships, now with more vehicles and commercial planes;
Import your sims from The Sims 2... Or The Sims 3!
You can now see a meter indicating your sims' general happiness with the city and its services!
And you can draw the path your (custom) sims take to work! Make them use public transportation!
Other
SimCity 5000 Exchange! Share your cities like you share your sims in The Sims 3!
Choose between SC4's interface or a complete redesign.

It sounds good. I'm also really hoping a new SimCity 4-like game will come, since I don't really enjoy SimCity Societies.

I don't see the idea with the underground oil lakes, then wouldn't it more be a tool you just used to fill the underground with oil, rather than making it realistic? But the idea of underground oil lakes isn't bad - perhaps an automated system that generates them instead would be better, so you don't just get all your money from the oil.

But a new tool I'd really like would be a mod editor (or something alike). Perhaps a building editor, so you can make your own buildings.

.
All above are brilliant ideas. Especially the Mayor mode stuff

I think it would be great if your could zoom into zones and play a societies type building-by building mode. And lower the effect of decorations

I'd personally like a SC4 type "region" but with the ability to auto-generate the entire maps like in previous versions of SimCity. Creating the from scratch yourself is cool and all, but it can get difficult sometimes, especially with mountain ranges that go across several tiles. It would be nice to be able to create a random flowing terrain without having to do every tile yourself imo.

I just hoping that a new Sim City title in the fashion of Sim City 4 will one day be released.

Sim City 4 is the best city simulator I've ever used and it is very enjoyable too. Love the tricks and the way the city grows.

EA please get it right the next time.

SimCity 4 is probably the best game i have, and i also have Societies. After Societies i thought of this.
There is still hope: EA announced they were hiring for an "unannounced next-generation simulation game". Check out Now hiring for Maxis’ next secret title | Simprograms

i can't wait for the next sim city game.

One thing i'd like to see in the next game would be a camera angle that is at street level. If you've played city life you will know what i mean, you can zoom the camera right down to street level and move about as if you were a person walking around.

Even better would be if you could take controll of one of your sims and walk about in the city (although i'd imagine that's unlikely to happen due to the amount of technical stuff)

Yeah, i've also always wanted to live a sims life in simcity 4, and the street level camera. I have City Life Deluxe and am looking forward to cities XL.

Perhaps you could also connect the regions to countries... That could also be cool.

But I think a good solution on the problem with terraforming the city tiles would be to:
1) Make you able to terraform a part of the neighbor cities while terraforming, so you could "take over" from that in the next city.
2) Making a region wide terraforming tool. The next problem will just become if you made regions connected into countries, then you would need something like solution 1 for regions.

Didn't you read my previous post?
TheBlaDk - It would be really cool if we could change directly from one city to another like lots in the Sims 3. The SimCity 4 zones-in-different-cities "trick" would be made really easy.

I think it would be great if we could create our own buildings with parts that lean toward certain stats like happiness or authoritarian.

Also it would be good if we could transfer buildings from Sims 2 & 3

Expanding the country thing. Perhaps adjacent countries or cities could have stats tranferable to the next city along. if a city had a urpluss of people. the adjacent city may have a surplus of jobs and as such stats may be tranferable

I'm not sure if I know what you mean, but already in SimCity 4 people can live in one city and work in another. I mean, if you make many R zones in one city, they will build more I in the same city and the nearby city if there are I zones.

But yes ABCRic, that would be a nice function.

About making you able to import buildings from Sims 2 and 3... I think that function wouldn't be good, because I think you mostly make large houses and not apartment blocks or other things in Sims. It would be more useful with an ingame building editor, with tools that are more useful for the game.
The game also needs to calculate how many people there can live/work in the buildings. I think a possability could be to ad cubes in the start where people live/work, and when you've placed as many as you want the editor calculates the space inside them and makes the number of people who can live/work inside the building. After that you can add additional things, like windows, roof, trees and paint and so on.

I think thats all it is going to remain for all of us....

seriously, is there anyone who likes simcity societies more than Simcity 4?

I would be happy even if EA releases Simcity 4 again with updated graphics and some minor upgrades....
