Don't get it, it's the worst SimCity game made. Stick with SimCity 4 or The Sims 2.
Honestly, there's no real point in SimCity Societies, they took a completely new approach to the series and it wasn't a good approach either. I made the mistake of getting it last christmas, I hated it within the first half an hour.

For starters You better take this warning extremely carefuly
It could crash and or kill your pc if your not careful enough you may have to end up on the phone for hours with tech/Hardware support just trying to get it fixed eventualy you will fix the problem and it will run like a charm and we can all just pretend that 150 Pound phone bill did not ever exsist.
But besides that its a very good game in my personal opinion of course not as good as SC4 but it comes close in creativity

Default Re Sim City Societies

I just bought Sim City Societies at the weekend when I discovered I had a Game gift card from last year I hadn't used!

So far I am really enjoying playing it - it seems such a long time ago for me when I used to play Sim City on my SNES!

Sim City Societies has plenty of achievements to fulfill and ways to play the game (unlimited simoleons), plenty of buildings and for me playing this game in 3D and moving the camera on to the streets as sims (and special sims) pass is amazing!

I am feeling quite proud to have achieved a gold medal for keeping my sims happy - even if I was using the unlimited simoleons gameplay!

On the box, it states Nvidia Geforce FX6000 for Vista.

It might be best to check if your PC/Laptop can run it by clicking EA - NEWS & EVENTS - System Requirements Lab Launched

Good luck!

If you liked SC4 and think it will be as good, you will be disappointed. I wouldn't call it SimCity. More something like SimTown. If you like making big cities, this is not something for you. I would call it a childish version of SimCity.

From what I heard the replayability isn't very good either.

Well, I live in Australia so Simcity 4 rush hour has never been within my reach, it was never released here, that probably would have made it more enjoyable.
I think simcity societies is waaaaaaaaaaaay better. I especially like the Authoritarian society (lol listen to me or I'll lock you up for so long you have no emotions)

Awful game compared to SimCity 4. I really like SC4 and got Societies and was disappointed.
