Default Worth every penny... almost

Yes, it's a bit of a gyp that RB costs a monkeyload more in the UK and Europe than it does stateside, but what else is new. The price change, I reckon, is the main reason we also had to wait so long to get it - the two are connected.

Anyway, the game is great. Dumps on GH3 from a great height, and I've had value for money from the game already.

However, the instruments - aside from the mic - are garbage. The strum action on the guitar no longer works downwards, it no longer recognises tilting unless you're forceful and the whole thing just feels cheap. It's a nice button action and feels as good as the GH3 wireless (360) one - which is also poorly designed.

What's so hard about using the same manufacturer as the original GH1 guitars I've got for my PS2? I bought 2 of them when the game first launched and they're still going strong.

I don't mind paying a premium, but I expect to get several hundred hours abuse from the kit before it stops working properly.

It's quiet obvious what it's about stop trolling just because you have the hump with the price.

Yeah the Rock Band instruments are a bit cheap, I use my Guitar Hero guitars. The reason they couldn't use the same manufacturer is that Red Octane did the hardware for Guitar Hero and they were bought by Activision, and so the hardware has to be produced by someone else. I prefer the fret buttons on the rock band guitar though, especially the little nub on the yellow fret, the one on my GH3 Les Paul leaves my middle finger really sore and is horrible for doing sliding with, especially on songs like The Hand That Feeds where you have repetitive chord slides.

All im saying is that you're getting the same quality of shocking instruments as in america for double the price so how is that almost worth every penny. So what in america was 80 quid worth paying for instruments that break within a week?

How can you say its worth every penny and then go on to say that the stuff thats costing you all the money - the hardware - is utter rubbish?

It's not worth every penny at all, let alone 'almost'.

Why is it worth every penny even though it's considerably more than the US paid, and the instruments are a bit shoddy?

Because with 4 players it's about as much fun as can be had on a console. While I'm not made of money I bought the full kit from HMV for £150 and then spent another £40 on downloading more tracks, and I'd do it again.

It's one of those games you spend the entire day playing with friends regardless of skill level - it appeals to non-gamers and gamers alike which means that even the wife is happy to play it, and as such - it's worth every penny.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone has the right to post that opinion on the forum. Please, understand and accept that other people may have a different opinion from yours and please, be respectful and polite if and when you 'disagree' with their opinion.

How is "What the hell is this on about?" his opinion? The point of the original post is quite clear, all scooper was doing was trying to berate him for thinking the game was worth the price he paid.

Maybe, but I'm also right, and that's what's so annoying about it isn't it.

How can you tell when you can't even tell I'm not at school? I left school quite a few years ago, in fact I graduated university a couple of years ago and have a job. So yeah hit the nail on the head. Well done, I feel terrible that I've been bettered by you on the internet. I'm going to go cry now.
