I just wanted to hear peoples opinions on which drums look better:
The GH4 drums with 3 pads 2 cymbals and 1 pedal - boasting reliability and more in depth playing or The Rock band Drums with its 4 pads and 1 pedal - boasting the need to replace them every 2 weeks because the pedals snapped etc ![]() ![]() Also like to add the GH4 drums have been confirmed as wireless ![]() |

Well if activison have any sense they will try and get all the "non rock band because of price" buyers. Also the drums at the moment have a velocity control thingy so basically when you play a song if you hit the drums lightly, they'll sound quiet in the game and if you hit them hard they'll sound louder. Sounds pretty cool to me

The only thing I like better about the Rock Band drums is the base - having the pedal built into the frame seems like a good thing, and I worry about it shifting in the GH4 version. Also it looks like the Rock Band drums are in general more stable.
Other than that, GH4 in every way. As you'd expect, given they're out later. Obviously it would be nice to see them first, but it looks like they're learning from the mistakes in the Harmonix hardware, which is a promising sign. |

The Rock Band drums look a hell of a lot nicer, being not just that horrible black, and ergonomically they look like they're designed better. (Pedal is attatched to the drum kit, you don't have to lean over the drums to get to the Guide button/D-Pad).
Though, seeing as Activision 'stole' Red Octane (who manufactured the good quality GH1/GH2 guitars for Harmonix) when they bought the Guitar Hero name, no doubt that the Guitar Hero drums will be better quality. It's a shame as Activision don't deserve to have the better product when all they're doing is now milking the series and trying to 1-Up Harmonix's innovation. |

No but I'm sure we can expect to see yearly increments of the game with the additions of retarded features, a storyline and a gameplay system which allows ever increasingly stupid scores to be achieved. You know like they did with Tony Hawks Pro Skater, another awesome and at the time innovative game.

guitar hero ftw..
i know that when GH4 comes out, I'm just gonna buy the drums separately. I already have the guitar and I can't sing for **** so I'll just get the drums. I'll have to hope they fit in my room though, I've got hardly any space at all.

yea the GHWT drums do look nicer than the rockband ones, but i guess we wont know whether theyre actually better to play until it comes out..
to be honest tho that wont be hard with the amount of problems they have had with the rock band drums, the pads are too damn small! |

the GH4 drums are also smaller - therefore they'll fit in my room which has very little floorspace.
