I had already boycotted buying EA games after their constant franchise releases but was really looking forward to rock band so I was going to make an exception but theres no chance now at that price point.
With EA having an argument with GAME (the largest high street video game store) and now this absolutely extortionate price point for Rock Band EA are going to be very sorry |

All I can say is thank god EA haven't bought Take 2 yet. Only game in the forseeable future that would have tempted me away from my boycott of EA games.
Unfortunately, with the rate EA is buying up developers, a boycott of EA by most gamers becomes less feasible. Hard to boycott a company like EA these days if it means giving up 50% of the decent games. So I would suggest those who might be tempted, to buy the games second-hand instead. That way EA won't see a penny from you, and you will save yourself a nice sum in the process too. |

Yupyup,
Time to introduce as many people as I know to the joys of [removed]... No need to ever buy an EA game again! w00t! That way, the loss isn't only £180 on Rock Band, it's potentially thousands over the lifespan of the 360... |

But the ammount they are likely to lose will be chump change to companies like EA and Microsoft, so they are likely not to give a damn. |

What bollocks.
<£140 would've been almost acceptable. But it's just ****ing crap at that price. I held off asking for loads of games or a Wii for my birthday knowing/hoping the Rock Band release would be announced and then I could put mabye £100 of birthday money towards it. At this price though, I'd be better off getting a Wii... |

I would bet that if they lower the price of the game and package bundle by say a mere £30 to £150 for everything at least 80% of the people who said they wouldn't buy the game would, now think how much more money they would make.

Think how little extra it'd cost them to put a disc in the bundle. Probably costs them less than a quid each. I wouldn't even care if it didn't come in a case, just put in the game with the instrument bundle... |

I'm still hoping some of the individual retailers have the guts to release the game well under the RRP.
+ I got GH3 on release day for £60, kinda puts it in perspective don't it? Last edited by CEDRICtheFOETUS; 08-04-2008 at 05:14 PM. |

At more than double the price of the US version how can you say the UK version is worth it with a straight face? If you pay that for it then your a mug simple as that and your the reason EA and Harmonix think they can get away with it.
I don't think anyone with any common sense will buy it... |

The only difference between £75 guitar hero and £180 Rock band, is drum kit and mic. You seriously think that drum kit and mic for £100 is good value? I won't be buying it, neither will a lot of other people, thats the point. Last edited by PabloR; 08-04-2008 at 05:13 PM. |

why should America get it ALOT cheaper then us? I think this is the main question at hand, I really think they just hate us European folk ahaha EDIT: Oops yeah I just saw you wrote down the bass there and no game is included So do you thinkg £180 is worth plastic drums/guitar/mic and a game, which america got almost half the price? |
