Good luck. Personally i don't think they would care, but worth a shot. I would just love to see ea burn to the ground right now. I used to respect them as a company but over the last year or so they've really shown their true colours espicially with the whole dispute with game going on. Its Ea that is destroying the gaming industry by just churning out bull**** game after bull**** game with no creativity or effort put in to it what-so-ever. The only reason rock band is so good is cause they didn't really make it. Harmonix did, and i feel sorry for the idiot at Harmonix that thought it would be a good idea to go in to business with EA

Rock Band Europe To See Price Retraction Tomorrow? – even if the rumour was true does not mean that the price reduction would be passed onto the end consumer.

The distributer would be able to sell at the same price without so much discount.

At the moment I'm seriously considering cancelling my order for Rock Band and getting a nintendo wii instead. A whole new console which I'm will just be a much fun than one game.

Once again all valid points and arguments. In fact we, the above (in the majority) all seem to be saying the same things.

While I am not suprised that EA have not responded to us on their official forum, maybe EA_Omni can pass on our collective disgust to THE POWERS THAT BE. We were once all loyal customers of yours.

No longer...

Loyal customers to EA? I don't think so.
That's like saying I was once a loyal supporter of Robert Mugabe.

We just put up with them because we don't have any choice, seeing as they own everything.

Maybe Ea had been drinking when they announced that price?

Nope wait. They were thinking of the drink they could buy with that money

I would join you guys but i've already got a wii. just can't believe that Ea would do something like this to us, well i can.
Don't bother me anyway, at some point they'll realise that they're not getting any sales and drop the price, hopefully this will b before the 11th of June as thats when my GCSEs end
Now to address another important matter, how is this a european release when its only coming out in uk, france and germany. Europe has 48 countries. Guess this is why the gametook so long to come out over here; they've only just discovered us.

A nice simple map of Europe for EA to have a good look at! Just so you know guys, North America is around 2000 miles East of this area. I hear you can pick up globes in lots of reputable shops...

I must say however, the EA people on this board are being very good in not locking or crushing these threads, which are basically hammering their company.

Unlike the Harmonix Rock Band forum, which has locked all threads concerning this price hike and generally takes a dump on people's genuine concerns and unhappiness.

So thank you EA people on the forum.

EAUK_Omni, please could you show this petition to your bosses(if you do, point out that it's an ongoing petition). We would all be very grateful if you could. Most of us understand that you are just doing your job and you are not responsible for this farce, so any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Just out of interest, did the Consumer Media ever get back to you about Rock Band's pricing?

I've got a question for EA. What exactly have you done to Rock Band, cause at the moment all I've seen that you've done is add a few "exclusive" tracks and charged an extra 100 quid.
If your wondering why I put exclusive in inverted commas its because they're getting released in america at the same time, so seriously how is that exclusive. That's just a load of bull****.

Sorry for the double post but i'd just like a reply from a member of the ea team if thats alright to the following question:
Do you think theres any chance that the big boys will realise that they're trying to completely screw us over and we're not going to stand for it any more and actually do something about the price.
I know your probably not allowed to answer that so if u can't don't make up some bull lalalala excuse like when they tried to explain the EU price cause that got them in deeper ****. If you can't answer just say that and i'll understand.

Great article it just proves in that what the guy from Harmonix said was a load of bull. They are blatantly ripping us off.

Unfortunately companies can charge what they like for goods & services.

Also, prices charged in other countries couldn't (and shouldn't) be equated with UK prices as they will very rarely match up to your expectations. You will find prices in the US are always a lot cheaper than they are in this country. The only way to complain about this would be to write to your local MP.

Just had this back from consumer direct.

This looks like Consumer Direct is missing the point somewhat. Yes, we know that you can't equate prices in other countries with UK prices. We know that prices in the US are a lot cheaper than in this country.

However, in this case the extent to which the price is different is vastly out of alignment with other similar products.

This'll be interesting: New peripherals for Guitar Hero // Eurogamer

Guitar Hero is apparently getting new instruments like drums and vocals, making it an identical rival to rock band, I'm curious to see whether Activision take note of what happened here and price the whole lot for GH4 at £120 mark, and if EA will react and start to compete. It seems they had to be a little more competitive in the US since GH3 had only just been released but over here they will be nothing similar either side of release for 4 months.

Personally i would much rather buy a game from activision. At least you know they're going to give you some respect which you do not get from EA. For example just last week my GH3 guitar broke and they sent me a new one in 2 days and just to make up for it they sent me another copy of the game which i sold to a mate.
Ask yourself- Could you really see EA doing that for anyone?
Seriously? Giving something away for FREE and showing some RESPECT.
two words not in EAs vocabulary

Against that, Activision were to blame for the lack of compatibility between the PS3 version of Rock Band and GH3 guitars. Harmonix had the patch ready to upload, and Activision blocked it. Hardly customer-friendly.
