Default The Best Cricket Match Ever

I stand before you mentally battered and bruised, my heart thumping at 100 mph and a severe pain in my head.

For I am an Ireland Cricket supporter following watching, possibly the greatest cricket match ever.
I shall post the ball-by-ball commentary of the 5th Cricket World Cup 2007 game between Ireland and Zimbabwe on the official Irish Cricket website

10:38 PM GMT An amazing finish there. The best match in the World Cup so far, and the best ODI in a while.

10:37 PM GMT Matsikenyeri was stumped off the last ball.

10:37 PM GMT (49.6 overs) A White to S Matsikenyeri: No run. It's a tie! What a match!

10:35 PM GMT Last ball.

10:35 PM GMT (49.5 overs) A White to S Matsikenyeri: 2 runs. A mess in the field and with the batsman and the scores are level!

10:34 PM GMT (49.4 overs) A White to E Rainsford: 1 run. Three needed.

10:33 PM GMT (49.3 overs) A White to S Matsikenyeri: 1 run. Hit to the fielder. Four needed.

10:33 PM GMT (49.2 overs) A White to S Matsikenyeri: 2 runs. Five needed.

10:32 PM GMT (49.1 overs) A White to S Matsikenyeri: 2 runs. Good shot and well fielded. Seven needed.

10:32 PM GMT White to bowl the final over.

10:31 PM GMT Nine needed from the last over. What a finish we have in store

PS On the second last ball a very difficult catch was dropped by the Irish captain Trent Johnston

Well, was this the best cricket match of all time?

no lol probably either Australia vs South 1999 WC semi final or the record breaking run chase by South Africa last year are the best two games. But Ireland did well and will be suprise packets in the super 8's.

Didn't see that particular match, but SA vs. Australia last year my pick for the best ODI ever, but I must say im very surprised at how well Ireland have done in the WC, the ICC should give some serious thought about giving them more international cricket in the future, look what a regular competition has done for Bangladesh...

It was a great, tense match that I really enjoyed, but I don't know if it was the best game ever...

It was a good match, but not quite as good as the subsequent Ireland v Pakistan fixture, I don't think
