COME ON LYON.. obviously
They can but they would probably have to apply for another loan in the clubs name first, to pay Rafa off.

Will be very tough but recent years show we've had success in France so hopefully that continues. Carlsberg won't be on the shirt will it.

I hope Liverpool win this and these are my reasons:

Lyon will qualify whatever the result and fiorentina probably will now Pool have lost 2 already.

If Pool win then Benitez will keep Torres etc safe for the next few champs league games like he did against fulham and drop more points in the league and then even if he does fluke and qualify.. Liverpool will get raped by some decent european team just like they did by Lyon and Fiorentina.

...or

We win and qualify for the next stage and then everyone becomes fit and healthy and we go on to win both premier league and champions league...

Lyon will win regardless of Torres playing, I watched them the last time they played and Lyon were dominant the whole game, they kept possesion a lot better. But also, Liverpool have got many problems wrong with them...

1. Mascherano is always taking shots from 50 yards away.
2. Poor defensively this season.
3. Torres will play but he is obviously not 100%.

Many more but I got to go.

I would have thought having pretty much the whole first team out injured or sick would be a defining factor...

This is out injury list:

Gerrard
Riera
Kelly
Johnson
Skrtel
Agger
Aurelio
NGog
Cavalieri (flu)
Aqualani (flu)
Degen (unavailable)
Fernando Torres (not 100%)

Of course some may not be as serious and could well pull up fine for the match but it's impossible to know, we have to go from what we hear in the media when we are talking about injuries.

Not in france no.

Our success in france is a positive but Lyon have a great record at home, so it will be alot tougher than the Marseille and Toulouse games in recent years.

I think it has something to do with French advertising laws.

Lyon are in good form at the moment, something that can't be said about Liverpool. I expect a narrow Lyon win here to be honest.

2-0 to Lyon

Say goodbye to the European Cup this year Liverpool, maybe next year.

Oh there is that Europa League competition that you might just get into though, no promises though.

I wouldn't be so quick to write Liverpool off, if Torres is playing, and Benayoun, between them they can win the game, not to mention Kuyt.

I think Lyon have a great chance too, I wouldn't like to call it, it could go either way.

A lot of people were saying that when we were going into the Olympiakos game and look what happened there

I Don't think he will make it personally. If we have Aquilani back i'm more than confident he will add that bit of creative spark that Stevie often gives to the team.

Lot of bench Players are injured in Liverpool
Whereas Lyon is Decimate in Defense Only ( Boumsong , Bodmer , Cleber , Reveillere ) 3 CB and 1 RB , Knowing that the Defence in Lyon was the Big weak point( in Fifa 10 Cris :80 , Boumsong/Bodmer 76 ), you add to it injuries while a new match approaches against Liverpool ..
Remember the match in Anfield , When Cris get injured , Lyon Replaces him by GONALONS, middlefied of the secon team of lyon, Lyon plays one half-time with Two Middlefield in central Defence (Toulalan, Gonalons) !

Well that was a different situation. And to make it worse for you, Fiorentina are playing the group wiping boys, Debrecini.

If you lose to Lyon it's Lyon with 12 points and Fiorentina with 9 points and all they have to do is pick up another win, or a couple of draws to assure their place in the knockout stages.

You also have to win all your games from now on.

aquilani was tired just after 10 minutes in carling cup, once u lost the ball, he was walking back, even though it was a 3 on 3 or 2 on 2 counter attack. i wouldnt rely on him that much, he will probably sub in again
