Did anyone see Lisandro and Insua have a little kiss at the final whistle?

Europa League has loads of quality teams in it. Too many fans of "big" clubs think they can stroll through it and win it all yet we've seen so many of those teams do facepalm.jpg in it at the same time.

I reckon its a great opportunity for Benitez to win a trophy if he takes it seriously because frankly, Liverpool will get completely destroyed if they think they can play their 18 year olds against some of these teams

Scrolling through the group stage and you're looking at the likes of Valencia, Ajax, Sporting, Hamburg, Galatasaray, Roma, Fulham, Lazio, Villarreal, Benfica, Twente, Fenerbahce, PSV, Werder Bremen, Shaktar Donetsk, Bilbao, Lille etc...and don't forget even more teams from the champions league will be joining them ala Atletico and co.

The only players in the Liverpool squad that would've missed that chance if it were them in N'gog's position would be Voronin and Babel

Babel would have slotted it home, he showed what he can produce tonight.

lol gonna have to agree with you on that. No reason why Rosicky shouldn't be playing ahead of him at all times when he is fit.

Well you see, since everyone has been playing ridicuously terrible, i'd say a goal in a vital champs lgue game, when no doubt he's low on confidence etc. what else did you want him to do? He came on as a sub and scored

I'm a Spurs fan and I think Diaby is immense. He's gotten loads better and is still quite young. He'll be great for Arsenal in the future as much as I hate to say.

I actually thought you guys didn't play too bad. Controlled the match and Lyon didn't really have any clear cut chances. Just poor defending for the equaliser.

Just summarising my opinion on Babel - misses a lot of chances, goes missing a lot, nowhere near worth the pricetag Benitez payed for him

Agreed. he is Vierra Jr.

But Rosicky is more offensively talented. Rosicky should be starting in place of Diaby but he was just coming back from injury. Arsenal are midfielder loaded. A nice problem to have, but only when everyone stays healthy!

Rosicky can't break up play like Diaby can though. You can't play Fabregas and Rosicky in Center Midfield. If you are playing three midfielders then you can play all three.

Diaby has an incredibly talent to weave in and out of defenders and then waste his chance or throw the ball away.

I never said he played central. He is capable of it, but yes not better than Diaby. I've always like Arsenal more when they play 3 attack minded midfielders with a Song or Denilson holding the fort

happens to everyone. it's just a statistics game. You don't connect on 100% of your chances. Once he gets into the game he makes less mistakes. All players make bad passes, take bad shots, give up the ball easily, etc.

I'm just saying Diaby doesn't convert on most of his chances or opportunities and he throws the ball away/doesn't complete his dribbles more than anyone on the team. Wenger only plays him because he is French. his best goal of the season was the one he scored FOR united.
