Default Rosicky will miss out on the trip to West Ham, while Bendtner and Eduardo return.

.....He also sticks up for Rafa.

Quote:
Tomas Rosicky Will Miss Arsenal's West Ham United Trip - Arsene Wenger

Manager confirms Czech's absence, and feels sorry for Rafa...

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that Tomas Rosicky will not be fit enough to face West Ham United on Sunday.

There was better news as far as Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner was concerned though, and Eduardo will definitely be available for selection.

"Before training we thought Rosicky would be 50:50. But he will not be available for Sunday now. Bendtner was OK today and will have another session tomorrow," the Frenchman told reporters at his Friday press conference.

"Eduardo will definitely be back. From Tuesday night, we did not lose anybody and we could have [Philippe] Senderos available again."

Wenger was giving nothing away as far as his selection of a goalkeeper was concerned, though. Young Italian Vito Mannone has proved an adept stand-in whilst Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski have been absent, but Wenger would not confirm whether he was going to retain his starting spot.

"I do not know," he replied when asked. "Come to the game on Sunday, and you will see.

"I wouldn't say Manuel is no longer our automatic first choice. But Vito has come in and done well.

“It is always difficult with these kinds of decisions. You could say our job is to be unfair sometimes to players. You don't want to be but some time you have to, no matter what decisions you make sometimes you are unfair to one or two players."

Meanwhile, Wenger also expressed some sympathy for Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez.

The Spaniard has come under pressure in recent days after the Reds crashed to their fourth consecutive defeat at home to Lyon in the Champions League this week.

"We are, with a big club, in a job where you know that the moment the team goes through a difficult period, you get more stick than you should," Wenger added.

"But we know in our job as well that it is all part of it.

"I feel sorry that he gets that because he does not deserve it.

"But we all basically understand within this job, that it is part of the rules.

"In a big club, you need to be extremely strong because you get a lot of negative vibes.

"When you do not start well in the race for the Premier League, it's all negative around you.

"What is happening to Liverpool today happened to us last year.

"Every single question is negative for the whole season.

"You need to be extremely strong inside the club to deal with that.

Shame about Rosicky, we look much better when he's on the pitch.

amazing you have the nerve to say I know nothing about Arsenal when every single argument you guys ganged up on me turned out to be completely correct for what I've said. You're just another in the long list of blind supporters who can't form opinions without consulting others. Your group of 3 or 4 brainless supporters need to stop calling yourselves Arsenal fans. You know nothing about the team as your posts have shown, who are you to judge what others are when you can't even get basic facts about the team right

I unblocked just to see if you got over your juvenile tactics, but nope. first message I read you were at it again. And it all goes back to when I called your beloved MLS a joke and its fans who bashed Beckham as overzealous

What exactly were you correct about? I have yet to see a post where someone was wrong about something you were arguing with them about.

People only say things about you because you seem to only see your point of view as being the correct point of view when the facts are staring you in the face.

First message you read

And yes, MLS is a joke in terms of skill.
And no, those who based Goldyballs were well in line.

I hate to say it, but Tomas has been very nice for us when he's played. I actually didn't think he would be able to contribute, but he's proven me wrong so far.

However I still don't think resigning him after his deal ends this summer would be the most ideal situation for us.

Please refresh my memory, on where you have proven anyone else in this thread wrong.

You are the most closed-minded person, on this forum, and you have the nerve to call us 'brainless supporters'. I am yet to see a post from you, which even hints, that you watch or support Arsenal.

CL group H

1.Arsenal 7 points
2.Olympiakos 6 points
3.AZ 2 points
4.Standard liege 1 point

Why did you draw AZ?We need to create a bigger difference so that we can pass as 2nd

closed minded? because you all first jumped on me for dare saying Gallas is old and busted and needs to be replaced? Because none of your short sighted memories will admit his mistakes cost goals and wins?

Then nobody believed me when Bendter clearly played a right midfield role with Arshavin in front of him. And after that it was claiming Eboue played a right striker role on Tuesday! LOL

because Gallas decided he didn't want to play defense any longer and allowed them a free header at the end of stoppage time.

/prepares to have the revisionist historians try and say it wasn't Gallas and he is perfect he never makes mistakes

Yes, you are closed-minded, you fail to take in anyone else's opinion, even though the facts are there infront of your eyes.

What do you mean Bendtner played right-midfield role? Arsenal play 4-3-3, so if you mean he played as a right-winger, then everyone on here knows he has been playing right-wing for us, so I don't see your argument there.

We did not say Eboue plays the 'right striker role', because that would be stupid. He does however play right-wing for us (just like Bendtner).

I only saw the goal once, and even if Gallas did make the mistake that led to it, that means nothing. He has been outstanding alongside Vermaelen this season, and ever since he was stripped of the captaincy, at that matter, (but mainly this season). He will make mistakes once in a while, every defender does.

I doubt you will listen though because you just love to pick out the bad in him, even though the good in his game outwieghs the bad by far.

pick out the bad in him? when that bad costs games and vital points, I don't see why that is such a bad thing

Yes, because the bad in his game is so miniscule compared to the good!
Every defender will make mistakes, so just picking on him is stupid.

It's not bad to pick out the bad points in a players game, but you seem to just be doing it to Gallas, over and over, while loads of other players make mistakes themselves. Also you seem to forget about the good stuff Gallas does on the field.

If you're going to find the faults in people, then you also have to look at the good.
