I hope this gets on ESPN...The USA matches that is...Id love to see the rest of the games on ESPNU but its not happening since the U20s wasnt on ESPNU. But this tournament seems to be more promising for the USA than the U20's was. So Im really looking foward to how we will do.

Hopefully it's a better tournament for us, the U-20s were just straight embarrassing. I think the skill level compared to the field is better, and hopefully the coaching is better. I don't know about the rest of the teams but I think in terms of the US our "stars" are:
Charles Renken (Hoffenheim - GER) Joseph Gyau (Hoffenheim - GER) Luis Gil (Arsenal - ENG) Jack McInerney (USA Residency) Gil is to join Arsenal after the tournament. We all know how hit and miss youth players can be though.

Why Kellog? The U20 Wc isn't over yet why make this thread so early?
I wanted to make it ![]() USA - See Dena's post. Additional ones that I know about: Germany - Florian Trinks-Winger (scored the free kick winner in UEFA U17 v NED), Lennart Thy-ST, Christopher Buchtmann-Winger/Fullback Netherlands - Luc Castaignos-ST, Patrick ter Mate-GK Switzerland - Janick Kamber-LB Italy - Marc Fosatti - Mid, Lorenzo Critzeg -Mid, Stephan El Shaarawy-ST, Simone Dell’Agnello-ST. Spain - Muniesa-CB/LB, Koke-ST Turkey - Deniz Herber-CM, Gökhan Töre, Muhammet Demir Argentina - D. Villalba-CF, Sergio Araujo-ST, Sebastian Gonzalez-CAM Brasil - L. Guilherme-GK, Wellington-ST/CF, Neymar-CF, Zezinho-LAM, Gerson-CB, Dodo-LB, Coutinho-CAM Colombia - Edwin Cardona-CAM, Wilson Cuero-RW/RF (a.k.a. Roadrunner on speed), Christian Bonillo-GK Uruguay- Diego Polenta-CB, Bernardo Laureiro-ST If you want to read a little on some of the South American players, look at the penultimate post here. The biggest miss from this tourny for me is Joazinho Arroe of Peru. Kid is a bit special.

for italy, stephan El Shaarawy is pretty good as well. he is half egyptian/half italian before any of you go questioning his ethnicity or claiming we "stole" someone. was even born in italy.

You're on!

This season he has been on and off. When he's on he's on. However, when he has a bad game he can be invisible. Doesn't help that Luxa doesn't play him consistently. He should tear up this level though.

I'm actually very excited for this tournament. We should expect to advance, Spain will be trouble but a good test. This group of kids is quite good.
