Just had a thought.

Have you ever realised what an unholy mess a goal-line scramble is,where players lose all composure and descend into blind panic?

Just wondering, has anyone given any weight to many of the top sides returning to using a traditional no. 10? A lot of teams are deploying either the 4-3-1-2 or the 4-4-2 diamond which calls for that maestro in the hole running the show. Juve, Milan, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid (to a certain extent) are some examples. Are Diego, Ronaldinho, Lampard, Quaresma/Stankovic,etc.(?), and Kaka bearing the last torch of this legendary position?

If anyone of these teams are very successful do you think that would bring back the classic no. 10 player like a Riquelme back into the modern game? If they aren't successful will the no. 10 slide into ignominy, and exist only in nations where the position is imbedded in the football culture?

it wasnt blatant, James was running to get the ball and the birmingham player stood infront of the keeper meaning there was bound to be contact. soft penalty at best

What game were you watching? James had his eye on the ball all the way. No penalty.
