Well it's a friendly, there just testing their squad. Its not like Mourinho told them to destroy them or anything. Big deal, they drew with some students who probably put up a good fight.

No stop bragging and acting like a child. Please.

You know the heat could of been a giant factor too, I live a couple of minutes from UCLA(go Bruins!) and it's hot as hell over here, and that's with me being used to it, look at what happened to Argentina when they played in Bolivia(altitude)

Oh and why open a flame thread?

Yeah, but maybe those students really did their homework and stepped up on their training before the game.

You don't lose 6-1 because of altitude. You might lose 1-0 or 2-0 because of it, but 6-1 is truly because they sucked that day.

lol people take friendly matches way too seriously. It's not like they will automatically suck when the real competition comes just because they had a bad result on a friendly.

But tbh, most of the Inter players get payed 60k+ a week. These are just normal football students, some may play MLS but still. They really should of won tbh, no matter how well they played. Like I said, bit embarassing.

but friendlies aren't exactly meaningless, they're a small taste of the real thing, now inter have no prob because they had many chances they would work to score in real competition but didn't bother in a match like this

It is a bit of a laugh to think that one of the best teams in Europe and the Italian champions drew with an American college team. Think of how those students feel right now! It was a friendly, but still!

Well done to them, but Inter won the title last season.. I'm pretty sure they're in a better position than Milan now, who have lost two key players..

Sorry, but friendlies count for nothing. They don't prove form, fitness, potential, anything. Plus, how many matches had they played? Are UCLA into their season now? Unfit players will get beaten.

Believe me. We beat Ajax in a friendly. It goes for nothing.

A few things to keep in mind:
  • It's a friendly
  • UCLA historically, is one of the most successful programs in the country
  • You're going a bit overboard and making a fantastic fuss, perhaps, because you know it's your only chance this year to do so?
Either way, we all know this is just pent up frustration over losing Kaka and this appears to be you're only outlet, since you're the second best team in Milan.

edit: ...but hey! Ronaldinho doesn't appear to have been on any recent drug-binges, skipping as much training and isn't 30lbs overweight! woohoooooooo! our season is saved11!1!!

Let's go crazy and throw some more smoke bombs and firecrackers at our players on their practice pitch, in celebration!!11!

Inter are currently in the United States of America, where they are based for their preseason training camp. To kick off their pre-season campaign, the Nerazzurri took part in a friendly match against a UCLA select team last night, one that ended all square at 2-2.

In extreme heat the match got underway, with the Italians fielding a team with a good mix of experienced heads and fresh faces, however as expected, they were the side to threaten early, as Mario Balotelli sent a powerful effort inches wide of the target after just five minutes of play.

The likes of Mancini and Sulley Muntari caused havoc for the Americans, as their goalkeeper Perk was forced in to make a number of commendable saves within the first half hour of play.

Incredibly though, UCLA took the lead on 39 minutes from their first corner of the contest, when Carasco headed a goal past the Inter keeper Belec, ensuring that the home side would take a shock advantage into the half time interval.

Jose Mourinho opted to change his side’s formation to a 4-3-3 set-up and make a number of key changes, such as introducing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Diego Milito and Cristian Chivu into the field of play.

The move paid dividends immediately, as the Italians took just four minutes to open their account and level proceedings, when another of the substitutes in Marco Materazzi tapped in a goal from close range.

It took less than 20 minutes for the Italian giants to finally claim the lead, as a perfect cross into the area by Mancini was met by the head of Dejan Stankovic, who coolly tucked away his side’s second of the encounter. Just a few minutes later though, Griffin restored the parity in the match for the home side, as his header was too strong for Orlandoni in goal.

The Nerazzurri had a number of chances in the final 20 minutes of play, including one to Milito that struck the woodwork, however they would fail to score again, meaning that the friendly would eventually end 2-2.

didnt u used to suport inter?

I think Callyrn is trying very hard to create hype.. and failing.

And those KIDS he keeps flapping over are 18-25 year olds who play on SCHOLARSHIPS due to exceptional play in previous years.. He clearly doesn't understand how the US university system works if he thinks they're "kids".
