I would agree the build up was great, but i see better goals than that in the championship every matchday.

Do you watch the same Cech as me? Cech is extremely flattered by his defence and an average keeper at best...

Valdes, Casillas, Buffon, Julio Cesar, Reina, Diego Lopez, Renan, Akinfeev, Frey, Lloris, Ochoa and even arguably Tim Howard are miles ahead of Cech. He hasn't been the same since he had his head caved in.

Midfield: Joe Cole, Lampard, Essien, Malouda, Ballack, Deco, Mikel. K?
I don't rate those in the slightest, don't start telling me that your better because you have players who've won a CL and never will at Chelsea.

Owen - 30 goals in the last 4 years.
Because an on form Rooney and Berbatov are quality and for a back up player Owen isn't bad either.

Drogba and Anelka are probably better, but Chelsea's backup isn't as strong.

lalalala. Im suprised you didn't mention Almunia and Fabianski in that list!

The only keepers comparable to Cech there is Casillas, Buffon, Julio Cesar and maybe Reina.

Everyone has an off-season if you didn't know.

This. Even Asenjo I rate higher, possibly that Schalke keeper. But I think Valdes is utter lalalala. I hate Hunt though, lalalala

Man Utd's first choice midfield is pretty weak to be honest...

To keep everyone happy swap Man U and Chelsea!

Then you obviously haven't watched us last season.

How can you not rate the top scorer of the EPL? How can you not rate Malouda who was on fire for the last half a season? How can you not rate Mikel for being one of our top 5 best players last season?

Your a joke seriously.

I didn't mention them because I don't think they are better players. It's called not being blinded by the club you support.

If you think Cech has been better than Diego Lopez, Akinfeev, Ochoa and Lloris the last few years then you obviously haven't seen them play.

No, then YOU obviously haven't seen Cech played. I bet you didn't even know all 3 of them when Cech was on fire and when we won the 2 consecutive EPL titles!

How can you not rate a golden boot winner from last season?

Anyway, with regards to the op:

Strikeforce: Liverpool

Midfield: Arsenal

Defence: Chelsea

Squad: Man United

I was agreeing with you until that list. Only Casillas, Buffon, Julio Cesar and maybe Reina are better than him.
In response to the arrogant Chelsea fan, this thread is a matter of opinion, if I wanted to I could say Hull have the best strikeforce in the world and nothing could make me change my mind. Just respect opinions and let them have them even if you disagree.

Berbatov has not been on form since he joined Man Utd, 1 or 2 times he turns up doesnt really count in a 38 game season.

Rooney doesn't score enough goals for me.

so what if he didn't score for a period of time? Anelka is still the top scorer isn't he?

How can you compare Mikel and Makelele? Look at the age difference

I actually watch football other than the team I support, so whilst yes, Cech was good, possibly even the best in the world for a while, the fact remains he hasn't been the same since the Hunt incident. He flaps at crosses, lets in things he should save and doesn't command his area.

Were all the keepers I mentioned better than him back then? No, are they better than him now? Without a doubt.

Take the blue tinted glasses off for a while and actually watch a few games with these keepers, you'll see what I mean.

I included Deco for the squad because he is still a very good player even though he has been rubbish last season and we have him on our bench. Midfield...pretty much the same coz hes on our bench.

Why should I look at an age difference? Shouldn't his youth and stamina make him better?

IMO he won you a few games, I'd rather have a player score 20 goals in each game of the twenty, than 20 with a few hat-tricks and small bit-parts

Maybe you should actually try playing the game. You get better in defending with experience and practise. And Stamina doesn't come into play here...just look at Lampard

Can you actually read? If I say Cech was better pre-Injury (2006) but hasn't been the same since (the present being 2009) then I'm saying between 2006 and 2009 all these players have been better...
