For instance: Roy Keane. The majority of people who aren't United fans or Irish would probably agree that he's a dispicable human being and should've had a lifetime ban after what he did to Halaand. I don't expect you to agree, and why should you, the guy was amazing for your club for years.
There's a difference between tackling and diving though. One can love a player for the "kick 'em, kill 'em" attitude, but I doubt anyone loves "Dive down, look hurt" attitude. Which is one of the reason I didn't like Ronaldo, but love the likes of Keano and Rooney!

EDIT: I should mention that Keano was bit over the top, but it's a mans game.

PS: Take a look at Vinny Jones, now that's a psycho.

You are doing exactly what we supposedly are.. You're defending Keane, when everyone sees him as a thug.. We defend Gerrard when everyone else is against him..

Throwing stone, glass houses and all that..

Also, show me where I defended him.. I don't remember anything on saying he is right to do it, or that he should do it?..

Well you are looking at the positive aspect of one and the negative of the other. The "kick 'em" attitude" obviously implies passion, however the "dive down attitude" shows a willingness to do absolutely anything to gain your club the advantage. Taking the risk of getting sent off and gaining a terrible reputation with the media to gain the advantage for your club.

Keane wasn't a "bit over the top" and it being a "mans game" is absolutely no excuse for trying to injure the opposition and ending a mans career.

I'm accepting Keane and his attitude and playing style. Are you accepting Gerrard and his dives? (Because that would make you admit he's diving / a hypocrite)

I'd like you to answer that one.

Yes he dives, and yes that makes him a hypocrite.. I always have.. And I don't care if he is or not..

Do you accept then, that Rooney is a hypocrite, with the evidence that 7_Robert_Pires presented to you?..

It doesn't change the fact the man never played another game of football after that Keane tackle though does it?

So, your point?

EDIT: It's the scousers that can't accept the fact that Gerrard did what he said he never was going to do.

There you go.

I really don't want to fight about this, it's just that I've never seen a Liverpool supporter accept what you just did.

So, we're cool?

Does Gerrard even realise when the full time whistle goes?

YouTube - Steven Gerrard falls over stood still during live interview!

The other thing is I'd be very interested to see the date on Gerrard's interview where he said those things and the dates when people think he started diving... Often people head into something principled and with the best of intentions, but ultimately realise that if you don't "play the game" then you are at a disadvantage...

I know there's a Thierry interview where he says he doesn't like to dive, but against Spain for instance he wasn't getting free kicks he should have, so he dived. Had he gone into the game thinking "I'll dive every time someone touches me" I don't think so, he'd realised that with the way alot of modern defenders are with shirt pulling and holding, if you don't dive then you won't always get the free kicks you should. Do I exucse what Titi did? No, I still think it was wrong, I can however understand why he did it.

He's not being pulled up because of how often he dives, it's for being a hypocrite.

He's not being pulled up just for his dives, it's for being a hypocrite.

Imo though most of the footage youve got of him and your saying he's diving imo there not even dives, the worst being the Penalty in the cup final against Milan, every1 says that was a dive and it winds me up coz it was a blantant foul, watch Gatuso's left leg catch Gerrard?....

The issue isn't whether there was a foul, it's whether Gerrard dived, which he did. Gattuso makes a small amount of contact with Gerrard's left leg, at which point Gerrard's right leg immediatley buckles.
