We call it a " physical ": testing blood, ligaments/tendons, x-rays to check for any bone irregularities (fractures, etc).

Things like that.

You don't know what it means?

It's basically a medical examination where they test your body's vital organs for any conditions, then you see the typical treadmill routine, those are the basics.

A medical is a basic physical examination, they take your blood pressure, pulse, height, weight etc. and I guess for footballers a some kind of check of any prior injuries to see if the player is fully fit or not.

I think it's just to make sure they've not got any problems eg. injuries that'll be a bother in future. Eg. If a player had somes sort of medical condition that meant they were going to collapse after 30 minutes every game, they'd fail the medical.

What do you mean many, it is a pre requisite when signing a contract at a club that a player undergoes a medical to establish said players fitness levels and to ensure the player is healthy.

Just make sure you aren't using Uniteds medical team for it.

Hargreaves, Saha and now Owen all look like they've passed...

Ask Danthomas or d-smith (think it was those 2) what I've thought about Owen way before he got linked with united and you'll find out I've despised him for years.

Shut up you whining kid. Your about 15 with an IQ of around 10. The mods should give you a permanent ban as you add nothing constructive to the forum.
