Hopefully a good bit of posting gets done here tomorrow. Some of these opening fixtures are interesting. My list of fixtures to watch are the following;

NSI Runavik v Rosenborg
Anorthosis v Kaerjeng
Buducnost v Polonia Warsaw
Motherwell v Llanelli
Spartak Trnava v Inter Baku
Randers v Linfield
Fram v The New Saints

I am interested to see if Inter Baku is actually any good as they lost only one game last season in the Azerbaijan Premier League but still could only manage a 2nd place finish. Whoever wins the Buducnost v Polonia Warsaw tie seems to be very lucky because they get the San Marino Cup winner in the next round.

Yeah, you could say that. Born raised living in Derry. Try go to games when I can. Most FAI games are on Friday nights so bit of a hassle to go to all. Hoping to get to this game at the Brandywell though. When PSG were here a few years back it was good so....

Yeah, Friday night matches could be a bit awkward indeed. But that match tonight should be good. Ah, i remember Derry City's game against PSG - i listened to it on the radio. It was on my birthday.

Wow, Lisburn really got tanked didn't they? I thought they would've done a bit better against their opponents, but clearly not.

Linfield, heard they were doing well until Randers scored, a goal against the run of play apparently, and then it went downhill.

Sligo... it's tough to see them advancing now. They'll have to score two goals without reply in Albania. Still, Vllaznia will have to play their reserve keeper because their main keeper got sent off tonight. Reading the reports, Sligo where perhaps a bit unlucky not to get a draw, but it's a pretty uphill task now.

And it looks like St Pat's have a trip to Malta lined up right now.

Lisburn has a valid excuse for their performance today. Their goalkeeper was out on holiday. Actually if I read the preview right on soccernet it seems their four best keepers/defenders were on holiday and someone made their debut in the nets today.

That seems to be the norm with Northern Irish teams, some of their first team players go on holiday during their European matches.

im happy west ham missed out on 7th this season coz we dont have enough depth in the squad to have decent campaign and we would of just picked up more injuries for the prem the only upside would of been the extra money from it

I think the cup starts far too early also i recon it should just be knockout all the way through with no away goal and ALL teams put into the first round also NO CL REJECTS its a disgrace if they lose they enter the lesser cup.

well imo its too early to start the first round and this proves it players deserve a small holiday before pre season.

The start of July is rather early for these tournaments. It just seems that the Europa League is too big. I am not sure giving these weaker confederations more spots is the answer. The teams from Moldova, Luxembourg, Georgia, Kazakhstan, etc. never really get close to the group stage and just make more games needed to play this out.

ALL the teams at the start...

I agree about it being a straight knockout (would set it apart from the CL), but if all teams entered from the start, you're looking at just under 160 teams, this does not include CL rejects.

Would that work? Seems very big...
