I think in the US and even England, they try to make the players like Athletes, I mean like the focus or their pace, strength and not much on the techincal side.

Why all this hate for the USA, honestly.
The can say whatever they want. They have a good point. A grand quantity of people call me and other football players "foot fairies", that wouldn't encourage anybody to play would it?

Well lets see.
NFL - Americans are the only ones in the whole world who play, literally. Theyre the best congrats. ![]() NBA - Argentina beat them at the last olypics and in 08 they barely, barely scraped by Spain. MLB - Other than Japan and Costa Rica/Dominican who else plays? NHL - Canada, Russia, Sweeden are all better than America. So really they have outright domination in NFL, a fat lazy mans sport that no one else in the world plays. Congrats

95% percent of those athletes are to tall or to big to be an effective footballer anyway. |

You are all prejudiced fools who have probably never visited the USA.
USA doesn't suck at football. You saw it yourself today.

![]() and people saying the yanks would be great because they have a large population, how do you work that out? you can only have 11 players on your team on the pitch at one time, not 300+million

Its not "Americans" who have more athletic prowess considering half the country is Obese literally. China can train plenty of people to be big and strong as you can see from Chinese Martial arts there are plenty of muscular chinese people. There have to be considering there are over a BILLION people there. Not to mention when the government trains athletes they are serious. They train from very young ages. The size and economic power don't have too much to do with football its diversity that creates talent China doesn't have the same diversity that Brazil has, the US boasts diversity but its not really all that much. Compared to Brazil. I don't mean diversity as in nationality, i mean it in terms of racial diversity. If you look at Brazil's team for the most part compared to most other teams in the world. There is so much genetic diversity infused into the team, and very little stigma attached to it that the talent is practically falling out. Not to mention that football is a way of life there.. The US can get as big as it wants but until football takes the same level of precedence as it does in countries like Brazil. America won't produce much talent.

Having a larger population means having a more players to chose from for your starting 11. Understand now or do I need to dumb it down a little bit more? |

African's still play football as their first sport. All their best athletes are soccer players because they don't have any other sports that they are competing in other than distance running. I am not saying the US would dominate if we focused on soccer because we haven't exactly dominated the World Baseball Classic, but its obvious that we would be a much better team than we currently are and have been over the years.
