Which continent do you think plays the most entertaining football. That is, NOT the continent that is the best at football but rather the style you most enjoy watching and WHY.

Most of the leagues I watch are in Europe, but the football that I find consistently pleasing on the eye comes from South America. I like the technicality of the play and the tricks and flicks that have disappeared a lot from the European game due to its increased focus on physicality. IMO South America is the heart of creativity in football, and that is what I like most about the game.

African football for me is the business - free flowing, good skills, lots of attack and very unpredictable and they're never over-awed.

I am sure half of the people who voted for Europe have never actually seen South American football.

I'd have to say the South Americans......The likes of Uruguay, Paraguay, Ecuador, Brazil and Argentina play some tantalising football at times

as for why: While SA football may not be the best, it may not have the richest clubs, but the passion shown for the game by the players in unmatched. I have seen some very interesting things while watching the Brasileirao.

I'm a bit confused, the world's best South Americans (Kaka, Robinho, Messi, Aguero blah blah) play in European leauges, so when we think of Europe's football on an entertainment value are we thinking of Kaka for Madrid and Robinho for city, or Ribery/Ronaldo/Xavi for their respective clubs?
![]() I voted South America.

How are Yeovil doing these days? Used to keep an eye on them after they successfully ended Florist's promotion hopes a few years back. True Champions, though I was dissapointed to see you guys fail to achieve it the year after.

I voted for Europe and I have watched plenty of South American matches, I admit they are very entertaining too... the tricks and big bust-ups are great to watch but I enjoy watching the great technique of the top leagues as well as the hearty battling performances of the English Football League, it's always unpredictable under the Premiership...

I never said always, but in footballs case Europe is the best and the most entertaining. I would rather see players with the highest quality playing and doing great things than lower standard football. Being a fan of Watford maybe that's hard to believe but would I rather watch Barcelona play or some Bolivian team? Most of Europe's best leagues have something great about them South America is very similiar wherever you play.
Not really. In an attempt to fight Europe's dominance to try and back the 2nd best.

I'll go with Europe. The premier league and La Liga are just fantastic to watch. But as dena said most of the talented SA players are playing there so it's giving it this extra flair.
