Default Valencia Club de Fútbol

i was surprised not to find a valencia thread here, so i had to start one

will be posting news regularly.. i actually kinda know someone who lives in valencia and is close to the club, so sometimes i can get some interesting info..

Well, nothing has really happened recently. Last week: mata's 21st bday, del horno injured pablo during training (thank god nothing serious), and a loss on the weekend.

and here's the ad that was used to promote the home game against barca a couple of weeks ago:
YouTube - Valencia CF Batman

Amunt!

They are my favourite Spanish club, love Fernando Morientes and David Villa.

Hope to see Valencia in the UEFA CL.

Hoping to also see David Villa in the Champions League playing with Valencia or not.

as for the race for the champions league spot.

we have 4 games left: home with real madrid and bilbao, and away with atletico and villareal.

im pretty sure we're gonna beat villareal and real, also hoping for a draw against atletico. gonna be close and it all depends on how well we play.

Fernando Gomez sees some players from espanyol back line as potential summer transfer targets. in fact, Unai Emery held a meeting with Epanyol right back Sergio Sánchez before the Sunday game. he could replace miguel in case he leaves valencia. however, as far as i know Sergio Sánchez has a 10mln euro buyout clause - a bit too high. it will drop significantly though in case they relegate, which seems highly unlikely considering their recent form and results.
well, i guess after the sunday game, we can see the reasons, why gomez and emery chose these guys. Sergio Sánchez outplayed in-form Mata.. not an easy task.

By the way, in case we sign any of Sergio Sánchez, he will be our 2nd new defender next season, as we already got Dealbert from Castellón. Castellón aren't very happy with us, not just by the fact that we announced the free transfer of Delabert too early, but also by the fact that we didn't loan Aaron Niguez to them in the past (he currently plays for Rangers).

Miguel won't be leaving Valencia any time soon - friend of mine says he always comes back for the jello shots

Valencia is my favorite team in Spain. It's horrible what went on with them financially.

I'm not a fan of Valencia but I have a soft spot for them and Spanish football. I really hope that they get out of their huge debt without selling their important players. But it seems unlikely. David villa is my favorite striker of the present. Much more class then torres in my opinion. I'm actually using them in fifa manager mode and trying to make them as big as barca and Madrid. I hope they do in real life. La liga would attract alot more viewers who don't normally watch la liga to watch it for more then just el clasico or just to see messi. =\

even if he is not leaving, valencia needs a 2nd right back. we only have 1. i dont count curro torres. emery obviously doesnt trust him + he will be a free agent in summer.

Miku yes, i have read about it. he has done pretty well on loan. has like 10 goals i think?
as for aaron, im not sure. the loan is 2 years. valencia fans seem to want him back. i hope he comes back, id always prefer to watch our youth play in the first team instead of buying random brazilian strikers or smth. and rangers have an option to buy aaron after 2 seasons, dont know if they will excercise the option or not

im think michel, ximo navarro and jaume costa should be in the first team next season.

I'd certainly cheer for Valencia if they would be in CL/Uefa Cup

well yeah thats obvious.. epl is mainstream due to great marketing by the league and the clubs, so no wonder majority support them, still valencia isnt a small club, so i expected to find a thread about them

oh yea definantly not, anyways, seeing as your from australia, how do you manage to watch the Valencia games? i've always liked Valencia, but being from Australia the only possibilitys of watching them is ESPN, and even then its a slim chance they'll actually broadcast it

i wasnt born in australia, i have been here for 3 years..
i never miss a game, i watch them online. this season i only missed 3 or 4 valencia games (cause i was on holidays)
plus espn show them probably like 3 times in 4-5 weeks, mostly not live. but i prefer to watch live, thus online is the only option for me
