Looks like the Netherlands successful defended the title. Any word on who will be the next challengers? I believe WC qualifying is starting back up soon.

Next title defense is March 28th against Scotland at the Amsterdam ArenA. A random question here, why is the last a in arena capitalized for the Amsterdam ArenA?

Holland beat Norway 2-0 tonight and that means one thing:

Holland will defend their unofficial title against England in Amsterdam on 12th August.

Holland are on amazing form and England has just got done beating up on some minnows. Should be a good game but I can't see Holland losing this game.

are the matches in this tournament noted with the official qualification or tournament matches? Or ? Because - if Holland qualifies for WC 2010, and maintains the title, won't the winner of the tournament get the title?

EDIT: And in case of a draw?
EDIT2: Read it, got it. Nice tournament.

Alright now that everything is cleared up this post really is no longer needed. I love the list of champions for this there are a few surprises in there.

The title match is going to be played tomorrow!

Will the Netherlands hold on to their title or will the Aussies claim victory?

And by the way, what happens if they tie tomorrow?

If it's a tie, then the holders keep it.

I've never heard of this before!! What standard of players take part and are there any decent crowds that watch the games?

It's just the regular games that already are planned.

For example, if the Netherlands manage to hold onto it until next summer, then they will be playing for it in the World Cup.

So if we manage to win the World Cup, we are both official and unofficial World Champions

That is, if we don't lose against Australia tomorrow

Assuming you don't play any matches after Australia.
