Wow.. Big achievement. And when the season before last Ronaldo gave like 10-11 assists and scored around 20 goals then? Where you not watching football then?

42 goals, 6 assists >>>>>>>>> 16 goals, 13 assists.

You idiot. If everyone's defence is lalalala then Torres should have scored 42 goals.. And if everyone's defence in the English Premiership is lalalala, What about the champions League ? Everyone's defence is lalalala there too? Atleast bring up some proper excuse you stupid man

Hmm, Yeah Lyon easy.. Roma easy.. LOL where the hell does this guy come from? Do you even watch football? No seriously do you? You consider teams like Lyon, Roma to be easy teams?

If United had an easy group, barcelona had Stuttgart, Rangers and Lyon.. Isnt that an easy group then by your defination.

Milan had celtic, Benfica and Shaktar Donestk, Easy group no?
Madrid had Olympiacos, Bremen and Lazio.. Again easy group no?

LOL

Go and find how many players have scored goals above 40 in a season first. Then come and discuss.

Premier League football all the way!
He will go, he does not have any respect for all that Man U have done for him, (You know, just that little manner of launching his name onto the world stage!)

Any Man U fan i have spoken to with half a brain admits that his attitude stains the name of the club.

If i was a Real Madrid player and i supported United, i know i would still want to play for United even if Real Madrid won the European Title 15 times.

Ill give you 4 reasons.

1. 42 goals in a season
2. Best player on planet
3. Was instrumental in United winning the European Title last season
4. Shirt Sales

As i said, UNITED is bigger then Ronaldo. Its UNITED what counts for me. I support Ronaldo BECAUSE he plays well for United and when Ronaldo perform, United win trophies. Its not the other way around. I dont support United BECAUSE of ronaldo. I dont care if we get 10 more selfish players like Ronaldo, its the club's success which counts for me. We already have alot of players who are devoted to the club and they are great players. It doesnt matter if Ronaldo is not as devoted as others, what counts is he is performing to his best for United.

This is a misconception that rival fans like to say. Remember Beckham? People used to say the same thing. We support our players, through the bad times and through the good times. We stand by our players, that doesnt mean we think they are bigger then the club. Ronaldo can leave for Madrid if he wants, United will still win trophies that i can guarantee you. Ronaldo isnt bigger then the club and whoever thinks that he is, doesnt know anything about football.

Ronaldo wouldnt have got half as many goals if Rooney hadnt played his heart out every match playing out of position most of the times, Dropping in deep, playing at Left midfield right midfield week in week out and not saying anything only to let Ronaldo bomb forward. Ronaldo got so many goals because players like Tevez, Rooney, Scholes created those for him and also because he is a good player.
Mate i respect what you have said, and i can see you have a brain. You have to admit that there are a lot of folks who only claim to support your team because of him though

Shevchenko won it in the past. Clearly it's a sign of a great decline.

Don't come on here talking about Fan - Player loyalty. Thats football, deal with it.

Look mate, dont comment on my opinion of Didier Drogba, you just make the assumption that i think he can do no wrong.

If Cristiano Ronaldo played for my team, i could admit that he has skill, but i would still hate his attitude and want him out. I am not criticizing him as a player, just as a person.

If you want to see my opinion of Didier Drogba, then here you go.

He is possibly the worlds greatest footballer.

He has all but removed the diving from his game.

His attitude does cause tension within and outside the club and I dont agree with that.

The only thing in his defence: In order to get to that level of Self belief and translate that into skill, you need a certain amount of arrogance. That is much a part of him and his game as his skill.

Mate im not saying that Ronaldo didn't deserve to win it because that would be wrong. I am saying that Messi played just as well, and there will be those people who agree and disagree.
By the way, I hardly consider Lyon's team hard compared to Man Uniteds, Roma (I am a Roma fan) had no totti, and lets face it , they don't have any creativity without him.
barca were struggling in laliga and champs league so it was no competition.

Alamode just a question. Do u think that if Ronaldo missed out on a month or two of football, and was playing in a team who was doing very average by their standards could score more than 20 goals and lead this assist count? (I don't want to stir you up, I just want your opinion).

hate to cut in but can the mods please move the thread to the real football forum, as it has nothing to do with the game. That way we can get more people commenting who actually know a thing or two.
