It sounds like it will be a couple of more days until he is unveiled. Milan is probably in the works of getting together an arrival ceremony, most likely with 85,000 packing the San Siro to see Onyewu unveiled.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that it'll probably out draw Ronaldinho's presentation, and the attendance for Paolo Maldini's last game.

I'm guessing so, Milan has gotten a gem for free, the Ultras understand this.

Lol, that picture seems about right.

And those protesters were out there yesterday, protesting the fact that they had sold Kaka, and then had not bought anyone to replace him.

I don't think they will be upset at this signing, but I am sure it will leave some confused.

Fantastic "photoshop" you even got the bwin.com right!

I heard about the protests as well, I'm not sure when they protested exactly but I heard were protesting the lack of quality signings. If Gooch gets PT he'll shut them up.

Yeah, but he hardly warrants such a move at this point.

Must be such a surreal moment for Gooch, going to one of the biggest clubs in the world, this is a big opportunity for him to establish himself as one of the best in the world. He will have to compete for the job, but with the likes of Kaladze (who is getting on in age) Nesta (who's career I think is close to over, didn't he just have back surgery?..again?) and Darmian (who is young, but talented.. and Italian) I think he can get that spot next to Thiago.

He's not really "playing" for Monaco now is he. His sitting in the stands for Monaco with the ocassional bench appearance. I really hope Adu and Jozy can get loaned or sold somewhere they can actually play this year.

Well, he said he wanted to use the Confederations' Cup to show himself off a bit. Looks like it has worked.

What a brilliant decision eh? His agent deserves a pay raise.

his agent certainly deserves all the commission he gets from this move

and to be fair, gooch deserves every bit of it, i cant think of a nicer person - obviously ive never met him in person but he comes of as someone whos extremely humble, never complains and just does his job.

Oguchi Onyewu to AC Milan is a huge step in his career, and in his later 20's, perfect timing... it was a bit of a surprise, as Onyewu is not exactly technically gifted, although he has superb strength and heading ability... this is a major club, so anyone think he will see a lot of playing time?

never trust wikipedia 100%, although the #5 is a good number... but remember, even Omar Bravo got the #9 with Deportivo La Coruña, and he didn't see much playing time, even though he was decent... same with Francisco Rodriguez getting the #4, but not seeing much time for PSV Eindhoven... I do know that Maldini's exit will be to Onyewu's advantage, but I don't know who else he'll have to compete with for playing time...

AaB is looking for a replacement for Caca. Considering that Caca is overrated as hell, Adu doesn't have big shoes to fill and could maybe become profilic. Also, a non-EU player for another non-EU player isn't a big deal for AaB.

Hopefully Gooch gets plenty of Champions league and Serie A experience. It would be amazing to see him play a crucial role in his team lifting either of those trophies but for now I hope he becomes a regular.

I highly doubt he and his agent, with their ego and money demands, would want Adu to move to AaB. It's a shame really because he could help out a club like yours and get better exposure to the bigger clubs in Europe.
