Default Chelsea make 'massive' Kaka offer

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says Chelsea have made an "astronomical" bid for Brazilian Kaka.
15:24 GMT, Sunday, 6 July 2008 16:24 UK
------------------------------------------------

The Blues have long been linked with a move for 26-year-old World Player of the Year and their boss is now ex-Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Galliani told Italian newspaper La Stampa: "We received an astronomical offer from Chelsea for Kaka."

Galliani also revealed the club have had interest in 29-year-old Italy midfielder Andrea Pirlo.

Pirlo's agent has been reported as saying in the Italian press he wants his client to be given the same wage as Kaka.

But Galliani added: "For Pirlo, there have been many requests. But neither Pirlo nor his agent have come into my office and asked me for an improvement in salary."

Galliani says selling Kaka and Pirlo would immediately stabilise Milan's finances, with the club having missed out on a place in next season's Champions League.

"All we would need to do in order to wipe out our debts is sell Kaka and Pirlo," he said.

AC Milan technical director Leonardo told BBC Sport last month it was "impossible" for Chelsea to sign Kaka.

Kaka himself revealed to BBC Sport in April he would not rule out the possibility of one day playing for one of the big clubs in the Premier League.

Kaka's already said he'd rather either stay at Milan for life or play in Spain later down the road.

LOL, cause he'd rather join Manure or Arsenal would he?

Wheels are falling off at Manure kiddo, Tevez, Ronaldo and Quieroz situations need to be resolved and the thought of Kaka joining Chelsea makes you edgy, and you don't like it one bit.

Scolari would be a major factor of him joining us, and Milan need the money, be wise for them if they did sell Kaka, they could get 1 or 2 players off us too, Sheva being one of them if they desperately want him back.

The World Player-of-the-Year Kaka, is possibly the only possible replacement for Ronaldo at Man Utd. He is acclaimed as an even better player than the United legend and has now admitted he would love to have a chance to play at Man Utd

Speaking in an exclusive interview with a Milan radio station Kaka admitted he was thinking about a new challenge:

“I love Milan. I’ve had a great time here, won the Champions League and some great memories. But football is all about challenges and I feel I’m ready for a new one.”

“I’m young and at the peak of my football and want to play at the biggest level. The Premier League is the best league in the world and it’d be fantastic to be a part of that. And obviously Manchester is the best place to be at right now. They are European Champions, so it’s fantastic no? And when I played there last year, it was a great atmosphere.” Kaka added

He also would like his team-mates: “United have some great players. Giggs and Scholes are legends. Then there’s Rooney. And also Anderson who is a good friend of mine.”

And when asked if he’d like to play at Manchester United he simply said, “Yes, how can anyone say no? They are European Champions. It will be a dream come true.”

Chelsea Didn't Bid For Kaká - Report
British source Sky Sports News claims that Chelsea have not submitted any bid for AC Milan star Kaká...
Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani claimed that the London club had weighed in with a "massive" offer for the Brazilian superstar in an attempt to rejuvenate their midfield.

However Sky Sports News now claims that the word from Chelsea is a resounding negative on this score, and that Kaká has not been the subject of any bid, let alone a mammoth one.

Apparently the Blues have little interest at all in signing the attacking midfielder despite the fact that he was a mainstay of the Brazilian squad under current Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Scolari, meanwhile, is relishing his new role at the Bridge. Speaking to the club's official website he said, "It is fantastic to finally be here. The training ground is world class and I am very impressed by everything I have seen and heard from the staff.

"I am looking forward to welcoming the players back from their summer holidays tomorrow so we can start working together."

Chelsea may start to look like a combination Scolari's last 2 teams that he coached

Kaka is an Italian and Brazilian citizen, for him to make the move to England would be quite a surprise.

Because a big part of his "Milan for Life" pledge was that he feels Italy is his home for his wife and kid.

Becoming a citizen in Italy takes a while, feeling that it's important enough to wait for pretty much tells the story.

Amauri has been waiting for years.

Kaka is not leaving AC Milan and regardless of what Galliani says, Berlusconi is not going to allow Kaka who is the gem of AC Milan to leave. Kaka has also stated that he will not leave Milan unless they don't wnt him and I know that Milan want him regardless of there debt.

They would part with Pirlo before they part with Kaka.
