I don't know if this is true or not but this comment was made by the french national manager

French coach Raymond Domenech knows exactly why his side failed so miserably at Euro 2008. It was the team's hotel. "The layout of the hotel was all wrong," he said. "It was in a kind of cul-de-sac with only one route in and out. Plus, there were no proper directives from the Swiss about gatherings of people watching us eat." (Daily Express)

I believe that Ukraine complained that the loud frogs outside their hotel that kept them up all night was the reason why they lost to Spain 4-0 in their opening game of the 2006 WC.

To be fair, I think we would all make up excuses if our so-called world class team came last in a group of 4.

Portugal have already blamed Scolari's move to Ch£l$ki as their distraction and reason as to why they didn't go through

Raymond Domenech is demented anyway, he proposed live on national telly right after France got knocked out, saying he thought it would bring a little light to a very dark night.

Of course the French papers have burned him as bad as McClaren got with us!
