Like Celtic Hibs too have Irish ties but we don't deck out Eater Road with Irish flags. We accept it was part of our history but the bottom line is we are a Scottish club in the SPL.

They do and don't call me deluded as you aren't a Celtic fan so you can't have possibly experienced it.

Everybody knows they are Scottish, they are in Scotland.

They fly the tri in honor of their heritage. Why can't non Celtic fans accept that?

As the Hibee said, Hibs fans dont cover their stadium with tri colours, and they have similar roots & were even formed before celtic.

Celtic fans dont fly them in honour of their heritage(cover story), they fly them to show they are on the irish republican side of the sectarian divide

Well that I guess I will just not be able to tell you, because I don't know. It is strange that they fly the national flag of another nation at their games, I admit that.

BTW - Aberdeen's logo is awesome

Fortune in Glasgow for Celtic talks, Nancy director confirms

Marc-Antoine Fortune looks set to be Celtic boss Tony Mowbray's first signing after the player's club confirmed he is in Glasgow for talks.

06 July 2009 17:51 PM
107220 Celtic appear to be close to securing the signature of Marc-Antoine Fortune after a director at the player’s club AS Nancy confirmed he is in Glasgow for signing talks.
Although no deal has been finalised, the Parkhead club are believed to have settled a £3.8million fee with the French club, with the player looking increasingly likely to be new boss Tony Mowbray’s first signing.
A statement on the Nancy's website reads: "In contact with several British clubs, Marc-Antoine Fortune is currently in Glasgow to visit Celtic."
However the club's Director General, Nicolas Holveck, added: “No decision has yet been taken."
Fortune played for Mowbray during a loan-spell for West Brom last season, scoring five goals in 17 league appearances.
Despite reported interest from English Premiership clubs including Hull and Portsmouth, Celtic appear to be in pole position to get their man.
According to his agent Michael Maneullo, the French striker should make an announcement on his decision by tomorrow.
Meanwhile Holveck also said that Mowbray is interested in signing Landry N'Guemo.

Its taken long enough!! what number do you think he'll be, 11,10, 14 ?

Celtic announce squad changes ahead of Brisbane Roar clash

Scottish giants Celtic have announced some squad changes ahead of Sunday's Translink Cup match against Brisbane Roar.

New Zealand and Italian football fans living in Australia now have plenty of reasons to attend the Brisbane Roar and Celtic FC clash at Suncorp Stadium this Sunday.

Celtic confirmed overnight that Scottish international, Barry Robson along with Cillian Sheridan and Ben Hutchinson would not be on the plane to Australia on Friday after initially being named in the touring squad.

In their place will be the exciting Italian midfielder, Massimo Donati, defender Paul Caddis and New Zealand’s Chris Killen.

The 27-year old Wellington-born striker has represented the White Caps 26 times and is viewed as an important part of Manager Tony Mowbray’s plans going forward. Killen arrived at Celtic Park in 2007 after stints at Hibs, Oldham, Port Vale, Wrexham and Manchester City.

Donati joined from AC Milan during summer 2007 on a four-year deal. During his time with the Rossoneri, he had loan spells at Parma, Torino, Sampdoria, Messina and, last season, at former club Atalanta. He has been capped 26 times at Under-21 level for Italy.

Celtic insiders believe that as a result of these changes, the Hoops squad to take on Brisbane is both stronger and better balanced. They say it reinforces the seriousness that Mowbray is placing on this game as part of his preparation for the club’s European Cup qualifying final on 28 July.

The high profile match is also part of the Q150 Festival of Sport, which will showcase some of the biggest events on the Australian sporting calendar at Queensland world-class sporting and entertainment venues. Tickets are now available at Ticketek Ticketek Australia. Further information can be found at Brisbane Roar FC v Celtic FC.
