The term reserves is used to loosely, pretty much we're reffering to players that won't be regular starters. |

manager urges bhoys to be bold Gregor Kyle ‘NO fear’ will be the message as Tony Mowbray continues his preparations for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Qualifier in today's friendly against Sunderland. The manager saw plenty of positives in the 1-0 defeat to Dinamo Moscow at Celtic Park and, as he explained, has every confidence in his players going into the return leg in Moscow. “The evidence is there for all to see,” he said, “there is nothing to fear and had we carried on the way we were playing, with a bit of good fortune, better finishing or things slightly breaking better for us, we could comfortably have won. “So on the balance of play, it’s not a game we should fear and we should go there and understand that we can give them plenty of problems. “Like any football match, you have to take your opportunities when they come along. Goals change game and we will go into the game knowing that we will have enough of the ball to give them problems but will be wary of their counter-attacking style of play. “I truly believe that we have the quality to go there and win a football match.” Looking ahead to today’s penultimate pre-season friendly against Sunderland, the manager revealed that Scott Brown is finally back in contention, having returned to training this week. However, he will continue to protect Barry Robson, despite the player’s willingness to return to the fray. “Scott will be available, but Barry won’t,” he said. “He has a tight thigh and has only trained for two or three days. “Given the nature of the boy, working with him, he is totally committed to what he does, he gives 100 per cent in every single session and has probably just overdone it a wee bit. “He did say to me today that he could train, but we will err on the side of caution with Barry and I am sure he will be ready for Man City next week.” The friendly matches will again be used as an opportunity for the manager to assess his squad and, in particular, the younger players pushing for contention. “You have to put it into context, where we are,” he explained. “We are playing Champions League games in the middle of pre-season. “In pre-season you have to get players fit, everybody has to play and they all need minutes on the pitch. That’s what’s happened and will happen against Sunderland. “Yes, you hope they catch your eye by performing well, but we will use the game and the Man City match to give people games, making sure that when the season kicks off no-one is chapping my door and saying ‘Well, I’ve only played ten minutes, how can you say if I am good or bad?’ “They will all get an opportunity to show me they can play.” |

lalalala, saying he thinks we should have won after admitting to not watching the whole game, that's ridiculous.
By reserves I mean guys who aren't first choice. I'm not going to be lectured to by someone who would rather play FIFA than watch us play. |
