3rd goal - Ferreira too weak on Ballack and Ricardo jumped waaay too early.

No. Fact is, Ronaldo is nowhere near the same player he is for Portugal that he is for Man Utd...he thinks he's good by making those short runs that ended nowhere (apart from a cross into Lehmann's hands) and even stooped to doing some stepovers late in the 2nd despite knowing that would end up with nothing. IMO Ronaldo showed signs of being not as world class as people imagine him to be now, otherwise he would've done even a small ammount of a brilliant act to help us win...he wasn't there, and people will say "well he was part of most of Portugals goals", well whooptie doo as most of them he was in the right place in the right time, non of his own doing that made him truly look outstanding in the goal overall.
Sounds like you finally realised he isn't all that great eh?

Weren't we saying no longer than a month ago that to truely class himself as a great player he had to take a trophy as big as this by the scruff of the neck?

Throughout the whole tournament he was poor, Deco was the cogs behind it all, still don't think we should sign him, but he made by far a bigger impact.

Far too much attention was on Ronaldo, every 5 minutes they mentioned his name and you know they almost credited Ronaldo for scoring the first, not Deco, not Simao, not Gomes the scorer, not even the fact he missed a 1 on 1 - just camera focused on him, giving him the credit...

The same happened Vs the Czech's, he was nearly credited the goal scored by Quaresma, sure he set it up, but Quaresma wasn't even shown on the camera.

Ronaldo's losing alot of respect with the Manure/Madrid situation and he'll be losing alot more after that showing in the Euro's.

Seriously we get it. EA doesn't want to rate Ronaldo high, even though he was graced with the FIFA World Player of the Year award. Don't need more viral attacks to brain wash the few real posters here.

Despite people's opinion about the lad, his quality is still to be reckoned with.

If this were Rooney playing for England the excuses would be over whelming. If Ronaldo is a diver who disappears in big games, then Rooney is a recklose, whose 12 year old temperment is better suited for mix martial arts than playing professional football.

People need to get a grips with the situation, this is a team sport. Scolari- yes the coach, is just as responsible for the lost with Germany, as anyone else on that team. The team collectively performed poor. Let's not even talk about the formation, tactics, poor positioning from the keeper- etc. The list is so long it's hard to list them all, but the fact remained that even through all this Ronaldo still showed glimpse of style and effectiveness on the field of play. So all those people ranting about how he's over rated, are just angry Man U fans wanting to vent and nothing more.

Yet I've heard not one objective account of this yet. I guess those pretenders on this forum who boast knowledge of the game, got really tired of regurgitating already deciminated information from more respected news sources.

These weren't small mistakes, they were huge ones. And 3 of them in 1 game. 2 from the SAME PLAYER (P. Ferreira).

I don't think you realize that I never actually liked Ronaldo...at all. I wrote that review for another forum, I jus' talk up Ronaldo on this one to annoy people

...it clearly worked

But in all fairness, Cristiano is a brilliant player, jus' not with Portugal as much as people assume he is
