chelsea fans may argue that yesterday they deserved the title, but looking at the champions leageu campaing as a whole and i dont think anyone can begrudge we were the best team. we scored the msot goals in the competition, conceded the least amount; which included an amzing 9hr spell of play without even conceding a single goal. in addtion we were the only team not to lose throughout the entire campaign as well as thwe fact we had the competitions top scorer in cristiano ronaldo. also we arguably had the tougher route to the final than chelsea with us palying the champiosn of frnace in lyon, the seria a runners up in roma and barcelona.....barcelona! also fat was on our side with it being 50 years on from munich so all in all, i dont think anyone can say we dont deserve this. but then again, there is always those ****s that cant congratualte other teams isnt there, and quite frankly i like it that way, it makes times like these all the sweeter.
Ronaldo:

CL: 11 games, 8 goals
EPL: 31 games, 31 goals
FA Cup: 3 games, 3 goals

Just wow

Seriously, I think all of you would cry if you decided the Champions league final, tears of joy or tears of sadness, whatever it was, you would have cried...

Any player that doesnt cry when winning or losing a Champions League final has either got blocked tear canals, problems with showing emotions, or think they are too macho too cry haha.

He was relieved, maybe you don't get it, but he was surely on the verg of being the person that cost United a CL, but in the end he and United came out on top. Massive relief for him, he had to taken a moment for himself

Maybe he needed some time to understand that VdS and Terry actually made up for his hideous penalty

One man show? every time he got those individual awards he thanked his teams mates for the great passes, yesterday he said he was so proud of the team

After Anelka missed he went down because he said it could have been the worse moment in his life had chelsea won because of his miss, he got out of jail and was just so happy and over joyed that he didnt screw his team mates who have helped him so much.

United are worthy winners for their seasons efforts, but you have to admit Chelsea's performance yesterday deserved the win. We were very unlucky, we hit the woodwork twice, had twice as many chances, and if Drogba had of played the match instead of rolling on the floor and slapping players he might have got a goal himself. He was unlucky with hitting the post but did nothing else all game!
John Terry put in one of his finest performances of his career until the penalty. His Header from Tevez' certain goal was fantastic. He was unlucky not to nod in 2 from corners. Cech was outstanding last night as well, he IS the best keeper in the world! Nobody can deny him that!
Poor tactics letting Essien mark Ronaldo. United just aimed high balls at him for the first 30 minutes and it worked every time. In the second half when we pushed Esiien forward we had Ronaldo in our pockets! We kept him pretty quiet in the second half.
Drogba was pathetic last night, its performances like that from him that wont make me miss him if he left!
I honestly thought the door was open for Shevchenko to come on and make a hero of himself, I feel sorry for him that he never got the chance!
Anelka was a dissapointment, not a good signing at all. His penalty was terrible and he didnt look too down about it.
Terry was unlucky to slip when he took his. Its almost cruel, as having sent Van desar the wrong way it would have been a certain goal.
But thats how things go, United won and Ronaldo was let off the hook.
Cant complain, no arguements. I didnt think we'de win it, but after performing like that and pushing United to sudden death penalties its a cruel way to lose.

Like Giggs said in his interview. Chelsea didnt deserve to lose that way. United won a lottery!

Im just happy we was there! Im a proud Chelsea supporter! Was still one of the biggest nights ever for me! Ive supported Chelsea for too long to get upset over it! Im proud we were there!

United left their share of goals off the board as well. Had Chelsea won on penalties, it would have been very easy to say they were lucky and United got the shaft.

I was very disappointed to see it go to penalties. I don't mind penalties on elimination legs, but this is the final to crown the top club in Europe, just seems empty.

Most of Chelseas shots where all long range, i dont think they even had a clear cut chance apart from Lampards lucky goal that deflected off Ferdinands back. We actually had some clear cut chances with Both of Tevez's chances and a couple of more.

It shouldve been 3-0 at half time, apparently..

True, Chelsea hit the post twice, but other than that their chances weren't that great...they only had 15 shots (more than United) and only 3 on target, they were reaching for the sky at times aswell. Plus Lampards goal was quite lucky tbh.
