I know penalties put you under alot of pressure but when your a proffesional player and you get 3 in one game and miss 2 and have one saved.

You have to ask

what the ****?

I remember the missing 3 penalties game, although hadn't seen that miss before, that was a shocker.

What on earth were his team mates doing letting him take the third one, after two really poor penalties!???

Look a gloucester in the heineken cup. Chris Patterson a world class kicker pfffft. Back on topic i think that it's kinda unfair to create a thread about it

Look he has an incredible goal scoring career. And he's not one of the great's in the world.

But to Boca fan's like myself he is a idol.

1997–2000 Boca Juniors 102(91)
2004– Boca Juniors 110 (64)
And when he was there 97-00 he was a beast. I mean that goalscoring record is a goal 9 out of 10 matches.

And now he is still the experienced striker that Boca needs along the pace of Palacio. And he still scores around 3 out of 5 matches.

Sure maybe he misses penalty's, but last season he scored from midfield.
Boca Juniors’ Martin Palermo Scores a 52-Meter Goal - South America - The Offside - Soccer News and Opinion from leagues around the world
Look there.

He also has 4 hat-tricks and 2 matches in which he scored 4 goals.

I think in his defense he is a player of great skill. Who will never be one of the greats internationally, but in our local hearts he will be a mastermind.
