Yeah, I agree. But they got a lot of money when he went to Manchester City, and that is what I actually meant to say. They just made some lucrative deals.

Cardiff have received three bids for teenage star Aaron Ramsey from Premier League clubs.

Manchester United have been confirmed as one, and appear front-runners to snap up the talented midfielder, while Arsenal and Liverpool are believed to be the other interested parties.

The Bluebirds have granted the 17-year-old permission to discuss a potential transfer with two of the sides in the running, with the Red Devils already confirming that they are set to hold talks.

United appear confident of snapping up the Welsh U21 international in a £4.5million deal, which would also see the youngster loaned back to Ninian Park next season.

However, Arsenal's track record of nurturing young talent into Premier League stars is likely to work in their favour, while Liverpool are also believed to be favouring a move which would see Ramsey return to Cardiff in August.

Ridiculous of Ronaldinho goes to City. If he did its obviously for the money as he quite clearly wouldnt be bothered about not winning anything

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Cardiff for 17-year-old midfielder Aaron Ramsey.

The talented teenager had also been chased by United's Premier League rivals Arsenal and Liverpool, but will now complete a switch to Old Trafford.

Ramsay made 22 appearances for the Bluebirds in all competitions during the 2007/08 season, including a substitute showing in the FA Cup final defeat to Portsmouth.

He is already an established member of the Welsh Under-21 squad, with many expecting him to earn his first senior cap in the near future after he was an unused squad member for the recent trips to Iceland and Holland.

Ramsey will now undergo a medical with United and, subject to personal terms being agreed, will finalise his switch to the UEFA Champions League winners in the coming days.

A short statement on United's official website read: "Manchester United is delighted to announce it has agreed terms with Cardiff City for the transfer of Aaron Ramsey subject to terms being agreed and the player passing a medical."

United's offer is thought to be in the region of £4.5million, with the Red Devils prepared to loan the youngster back to Cardiff as part of the deal.

The Bluebirds were hoping to hold out for £5million, but have been tempted by the opportunity to bring Ramsey back to Ninian Park next season.

Liverpool were also understood to have favoured the loan agreement, but Sir Alex Ferguson has made the first move and landed his first signing of the summer.

Here are the past two days of Transfer Rumours from the Guardian Online.... I find these to be quite humourous

But, most importantly, Sesame Street introduced the Mill to the wonder of the alphabet. A wonder, dear reader, which the Mill is about to share with you. You lucky things.

Arsenal will have to wait until after Euro 2008 before they can show off their £11.9m star signing Samir Nasri.

Buck-toothed Brazillian Ronaldinho is willing to overlook concerns over the political conduct of Thaksin Shinawatra in return for £200,000 a week.

City are also willing to spend £20m on another Brazilian, the man with the mini-monicker, Jô.

Don't believe everything you read though. It's all nonsense.

Emerse Faé, whose refusal to play for Reading reserves was not very nice, is wanted by Nice, which is nice.

Fellow French side Marseille are like a paparazzi who's been set upon by Jamiroquai/Liam Gallagher/Amy Winehouse … they need a new Camara. The Henri model from Wigan, to be exact.

Gareth Barry's move to Liverpool is still boring everyone to tears.

Hull have got £5m. Manchester United have got Fraizer Campbell. There's a potential deal afoot …

Inter have been shaken down to the tune of £160m by ...

Jose Mourinho as he wants Richard Carvalho, Samuel Eto'o, Frank Lampard, Mahamadou Diarra and Ricardo Queresma.

Kevin Keegan's affection for Pablo Aimar, the £6.5m-rated
Argentinian striker playing for Real Zaragoza, simply can't be put into words. So, the Mill's not even going to try.

Lanky Peter Crouch is going to be slipped under the door of Martin O'Neill as a sweetener in the yawn-inducing, aforementioned transfer of Gareth Barry to Liverpool.

Mark Hughes will be followed by David Bentley and Roque Santa Cruz when he scuttles off to Manchester City for a year before being sacked.

Now that Gavin Peacock has left the BBC, Alan Shearer may follow. He's not going to become a priest, though, he's off to manage Blackburn.

Or, then again, he may not bother. Who knows?

Plymouth's former midfielder Paul Wotton is wanted by Blackpool and Brighton in one of the less attention-grabbing rumours of the day.

QPR are waving their wad about again. This time in the direction of Spurs' Anthony Gardener.

Rangers, of Glasgow, want him too.

So do Stoke.

The man who ruined English fans' summers, Scott Carson, is to be foolishly forgiven by West Brom.

U still reading this?

Very poor puns about Cole mines and Canaries will surely come out should Andy move to Norwich.

We've not got long to go now.

Xabi Alonso is off to live with the Old Lady of Turin Juventus for £13.5m.

Yellow Post-it notes adorned with "For Sale" and "£2m" have been slapped on the spam of Swansea's wantaway midfielder Ferrie Bodde.

Zheng Zhi, the £3m-rated China and Charlton midfielder, has not only helped the Mill with the letter 'z' but also attracted the interest of Fulham.

Oh yes.

Accordingly, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Everton and Spurs are setting snares for 22-year-old French striking sensation Bafétimbi "The Panther" Gomis.

Newcastle, meanwhile, are attempting to creep to within 999,999 miles of the big four by giving Galatasaray a handy £10m for flash young winger Arda Turan. Kevin Keegan is also hoping that Michael Dawson can be convinced to follow in the famous footsteps of Titus Bramble and Jean-Alain Boumsong.

Seemingly unaware that they already employ him, West Ham are to sign Dean Ashton on a five-year deal.

Arsenal are locked in negotiations with Valencia for striker David Villa but lurking around in the entirely reasonable expectation that the Gunners' challenge will peter out pitifully are Spurs.

How keen is Rafa Benítez on signing Gareth Barry? Not very, if all he's offering Villa in return is a bag of coppers and Dirk Kuyt.

Nice, proud home to "petty thieves, mafiosi and strumpets" according to a banner displayed by their fans last season, are hoping to seduce Lyon live wire Loïc Rémy, possibly by emphasising the last entry on that there banner.

Carlo Costly is not as his name suggests. At least that's what Wigan hope as they prepare a bid for the Honduran goleador.

Fulham are so determined to avoid a relegation battle next season that they're to splash out on ... Derby goalkeeper Roy Carroll.

Finally, little-known Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United and sign a five-year deal with not Real Madrid but Barcelona. The only sticking point in negotiations is that the Catalan club want a clause in the contract stipulating that under no circumstances must the big-game penalty bottler be permitted to take big-game penalties.
