Arsenal is the only Premier League team I will play with. Other than that I like playing with international lineups, and enjoy trying the various national teams I don't really follow, or teams in the Champions League I know little about.

I support Manchester United as they are actually my local team (I live 5 mins from Old Trafford!)

Online though I play as Juventus as I have always liked them from the days of Football Italia on Chanel 4

i grew up with a family that supports liverpool, i decided to support everton (dont know what the bluddy hell i was thinking) i decided to go back to liverpool within a couple of weeks (1 problem, my room was covered in everton stuff eg. wallpaper. i sort of cost my mum and dad about £200 to change my room back again, it was kinda weird seeing a blue everton room then a red liverpool room when i came home from school, i got the 3 liverpool kits though lol. (home, away, Champs league kits) i wouldnt reccomend this though because i caused and argument with my uncle coz he was an evertonian, everytime i see him now the skits me lol...

the main reason i support liverpool is because of my family, and because they area legendary team. (not at the moment though)

You have all three shirts... Too bad Liverpool kits are so ugly. I think just about all the Adidas kits are ugly. I am so over the three stripes.

I support Man Utd. I was born in Botswana, Africa and all they showed on TV was Man Utd so I have supported them since the mid 90s. Yeah the whole world supports them but I don't care, they play well and they lose just enough for it to be exciting. I am a little worried about what will happen when ferguson retires/dies though .

I have a soft spot for Spurs cause Lineker played there and Everton because my Dad supported them and I feel I have to carry the torch. Charlton vs Everton is the only premiership match I have ever seen live, but I got to see Rooney! and I think he scored too.

Theres a difference between playing the team and supporting the team. I love going to stadiums and support my team, but not playing them on Fifa though. Wouldn't be fair

Devote loads of my free time to reading about West ham or playing with them on FIFA, or better than any of that, watching live games. A little bit of heaven in every pixel....

If an American supports Kansas Wizards, and you support Real Madrid, why is it fair that he should be a 2 star team and you a 5 star team. I'll pick whoever I want and there is nothing you can do to stop me

Been a Liverpool fan for about 30 years now. Im Irish and lotsa people back home either support ManU or Pool. I think thats mostly because thats who you'd see on the box saturday morning in the late 70's early 80's. Its hard to support a team you never see play.

I grew up a massive Dalglish fan too and at the age of 6 or 7 had my first liverpool kit and put a #7 on it myself. Jersey, shorts, socks and all. Also Ronnie Whelan played at Home Farm, a local team here i played for as a kid for a year (played Rugby more and was way better at it) so he brought of lot of Irish fans with him when Liverpool signed him. Not to mention all the other Irish players, Staunton, Houghton and many more.

The rest of my family are Arsenal fans, mainly because my grand uncle Benny played for them and weve got his annuals at the house. He did a stint with Celtic and ManU too. But im the most passionate football supporter in the household by far and ill never waiver.

That made no sense. I reported you because you came in and began spamming my thread. I haven't done that to you, I have contributed to your thead with a perfectly respectable post. who are you to judge who is a West Ham fan? What's your story? How do I know you aren't some jock who randomly picked a top 10 team to suuport in 2006? And if you are a west ham fan from birth like me, then I was a fan while you were still in your mum.
P.S You said, "Oh Snap!" so I have already decided what kind of person you are anyway

There is no need to question to loyalty of any fan to their team.

On Scarves and Fan Loyalty

Here's a nice article from an American's point of view on this topic.

My early days: While I was watching the 98 World Cup, i saw this player names Michael Owen. He was just about the same age as me and was great. I took interest and found he played for Liverpool. I though, kool, i'll follow them so i can watch this kid develop. Before that my favorite players were Baggio and Maldini. I was more of an AC Milan fan. So come 2005's Champions League Final i was in a bit of a dilemma. I took it as one of the best, if not THE best match i had ever seen and left it at that.

Before all this i was just a fan of Italy.

The attraction of Manchester United: I don't remember when it was but all i know is that it grew and grew. All i can, say is it must be their reach. Much like the "39th" game would do for many smaller clubs, Man U is a market. It stretches to all corners of the world. Smaller clubs stay small because they don't.

When i look in the summer for soccer tickets i would see teams like Man U vs Bayern Munich, Bayern vs Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea. Hell, i almost drove 2 states away to see Aston Villa. I don't see teams from lower divisions coming here. I don't see teams like Pompy or even Newcastle.

So when you see or hear of someone who has no business, no rhyme or reason to like a team like Man U just understand that those teams are the first we hear about.

So we could have a debate on weather a "bandwagon" is about winning or about money. One comes with the other.
