Yeah but didn't all Vieri's (the player he's overtaken) goals come in 1 season?

Also, congrats to Mallorca today, continuing to get results in the face of adversity.

The history books don't say that though!

I still remember watching the match where Ramos got pwned by that bottle. That was nasty.

Karim Benzema Trounces Xavi In FIFA 10 Ahead Of Real Life Clasico
Quote:

Benzema has beaten Xavi in the first Clasico of the season...

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has beaten Barcelona's Xavi Hernandez by a scoreline of 3-0 this afternoon, albeit in a game of Fifa 10 on the Playstation 3.

According to Realmadrid.com, Benzema and Xavi were connected online in a media launch for the latest football game released by EA Sports. The two stars could see each other's reactions via webcam.

The first half ended 0-0, but Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a hat-trick in the second half as Benzema showcased his skill and precision on the PS3. The young striker is the on the front cover of the French version of the game, and has been active in its marketing campaign since the summer.

Speaking at the press conference after the match, Benzema told reporters that, "although it was just a video game, I would love for the outcome to be same on the pitch."

The young Frenchman was full of praise for his hat-trick hero, Ronaldo, stating that, "Cristiano is even better in real life than he is in the game."

Although Benzema and Xavi had a little fun today, there will be no friendship between the two come Sunday night, as Los Blancos and Barca square off in what is certain to be the biggest clash of the year.

Atletico just beat Espanyol 4-0 and Aguero played one hell of a match. Two goals and two assists, but that impressive statistic doesn't even do his performance full justice.

I thought he was meant to be quick? Of all the games I have seen him play. He looks so slow and clumsy.

Watching the Xerez v Barcelona game on ESPN 2. Amazingly, after 33 minutes, it is still 0-0. I was expecting a much more open game than this, but I won't complain. I would love to see Barcelona lose Though with Bernejo on the sidelines with a nasty head wound (a whole lot of blood) who knows...

The flood gates should open in the second half, FCB's bench is staked right now and I don't think Pep will try to take a chance.
