I hate when i'm the only one in the group. Then i have to have arguments on why soccer is nor for sissies and NFL is for non sports fans.

Lets not get to specific here. While the NFL might be the leading group for this, to me, any American sport can be classified under this group.

Well in Hockey it's called a TV time out.
In Basketball it's called a tactic.

Baseball and NFL have no excuse. You could put robots out there and as long as they're programed to do what they're told every play, it'll be the exact same.

Thats why i don't understand why steroids are such a big deal. No one wants to see a guy hit a ball 200 feet.

Like the DP rule in MLS the MLB should have an SP rule. 2 juiced guys. No more than 2 though. Unless your the Yankees. then you get 23.

Bad game for United tonight. Should have/ could have / needed to get a result. We need to start playing better for the latter parts of the season, especially with the CL coming up.

We played well tonight. Joseph and Parkurst create the best spine in the league. They dominate.

Huge 6 pointer for us, especially after those two bad losses we just had.

Houston lost 3-0 to the Red Bull earlier today.

Robinson has not looked very good since coming back from his injury.

Good thing to see Benny on the bench for the Colorado game. Hopefully he is getting his fitness back for a cup run.

Ive just put my finger on it.

Joe Vide reminds me of Joe Cole. Not in terms of playing, but I think he looks a bit like him and has the same type of personality...his 1st goal celebration looked like what J.C. would do.

Did you guys see this block of a transfer by the MLS? NJRB are trying to buy this guy from Atlanta, who plays in the USL - 1. Apparently, he is supposed to be really good, and the RB are in search of a striker right before the end of the deadline.

And they are willing to make an a 'big' bid for him, about $200,000. Some of which would be funded by the Altidore trade, and made possible by trading away Zach Thorton. But now the league has come out and said they cannot do that, because it would set a dangerous 'precedent'.

Anyone else disturbed by this news? Shouldn't clubs be able to buy players as long as they have the necessary funds, without the league having to butt in?

They won't block it if LA puts in a bid. Just looking at the guy(Macoumba Kandji) i'd donate to have him on Chicago.

Apparently, the league is saying they have done nothing of the sort........ but I have my doubts.

Either tell us the rules by which the clubs have to play by, or let them do their own thing.

I understand what they're doing and i agree. They don't want MLS to become like EPL where every English player is overpriced and the lower division teams stay suck.

I say only allow a certain amount of transfers like the player allocation rule. If a team wants to scout a USL player and pay $200k then let them. But they only get 1 or 2 per year and possibly every other year.
If a player is good enough for MLS then he should be in MLS. End of discussion.
