LA is toothless in the final third. And I don't think Ruiz is the answer. Despite Harkes' claims.

You need the college set up. Laptop two inches from the tv. Convenience.

Nice idea by Becks to take the kick early, but Klein is not the guy you want to look for in the box needing to control and shoot. Maybe a header, but otherwise he will (and did) struggle.

Nice goal by Buddle there.

1-1 in the 72nd minute.

I thought Guzan should have come out for that one to cut down his angles.

Kleisjtan off the post with a header in the 88th minute.

Had Cronin beat. Unlucky there.

Kljestan continues to impress and clearly is getting better with each match. I liked him up top, given his attacking nature, passing ability and size. In another year or two, I wouldn't be surprised if some consideration is gained overseas.

Speaking of which, apparently the Guzan to Villa deal is all but done and could be announced as earlier as this week or prior to their next match, making this potentially his final game with Chivas.

That save on Ruiz was fantastic.

Yeah, Kljestan was the best player on the pitch tonight. He will be at the Olympics, but I also hope that he gets a shout for the upcoming qualifiers as well, because the young man certainly knows how to play.

However, unfortunately for him (and maybe for the US) he plays the one position we actually have depth at (besides the obvious keeper).

Agreed.

However, perhaps Bradley can take note of Preki's confidence in having Kljestan play the supporting forward. Perhaps even to the likes of Landon up top.

Sincerely, Sasha's ability to create is something Bradley should find a way to get on the pitch and utilize. Along with Adu, those two seem to have the most ability to create on the NT that I can recall.

You're aware that Real Madrid and Real Salt Lake are affiliated professionally, correct?

Real Madrid has helped put together a Youth Academy for RSL, on top of hosting RSL to train at their facilities in Madrid in the winter.

But you're aware that calling a team from Salt Lake City (or the US in generell) "Real" is simply pathetic, no matter if they're affiliated to Real Madrid or not.

Besides, is Houston affiliated to any Eastern European intelligence service?

Edit: RSL had its name before they got into relationship with Madrid, which in return only happened due to major criticism of RSL's name.

" Simply pathetic '' is your opinion and most likely ignorant bias towards a league in a country you dislike and or are jealous of. Otherwise, why post so vehemently negative?

Additionally, thanks for researching and showing enough interest to verify that RSL and Real Madrid have a professional relationship. Takes a little wind out of your original posts sails, doesn't it.

Because "Real" refers to a King, which none of the Americas ever had.

You know, I'm not trying to flame the MLS here, because I think it's a good thing. But as hard as some people try to claim that the MLS doesn't want to be like the European leagues, giving their clubs typical European names simply proves them wrong. It's actually a poor attempt to copy European football (soccer) if you're looking at RSL's example, which no one can deny.

Are you making up statements now to help prove a point? Show me some quotes that verify " people trying to claim the MLS doesn't want to be like European Leagues ". Why on Earth would anyone not want the success and popularity that European clubs and the sport in general has abroad?

You know what's ignorant? Saying stuff like the MLS wouldn't try to copy European football, while one of their teams carry the name of the most successful club in the World, which happens to be in Europe. This wouldn't be too bad if the term "Real" wasn't related to a King, which there hasn't been in America, or certainly in Utah, in all of history.

Besides, I have lived in the US before, and therefore I can proudly say that I'm not jealous

If your intentions are to simply make up statements/stances without validating them with quotes, then this conversation is as pointless as your question, " Does anyone know if there is an Unreal Salt Lake City? ". Perhaps that was a sincere question and I underestimated your ignorance.

I'm absolutely sure you have lived here. Unfortunately, I have absolutely zero reasons to ever consider living in Germany.

I thought you might have had an intention of having a conversation or constructive debate, but I see you're simply incapable without fabricating view points and stances made by no one providing with no proof to verify.

Thanks for posting in this thread, though. It shows you do in fact have some interest our league. Cheers.

I was not aware that Real Madrid added the "Real" part after they began dominating Spain and Europe.
