Is he even playing? I saw some injury report on his status recently: Questionable (perhaps).

MLS, thus far, has been horrible with releasing accurate reports on injuries, along with probability of playing.

I havent heard anything.

Doesnt matter. We have 7 Strikers.

Emilio, Moreno, Dyachenko, Neill, Kirk, Quaranta, Doe

Emilio and Moreno are poor, the rest very poor.

Quaranta has been fair on the wing this season.

Plausible outcome...

Last year KC and NY dominated til about halfway when the two of us came through back to the top.

Deja Vu maybe now with Columbus and Chicago up top now.

Something about the way we have been playing though...a playoff route to a trophy looks the best outcome, for now.

Havent watched enough NE to comment. But if they are solid as usual, I am confident they will be near the top of the table soon enough.

EDIT: one saving grace is by the time we find our form...the CONCACAF CHampions League could be starting...maybe a blessing in disguise?

Well the C.L doesn't start until late August, so thats usually when things usually start to shape out and the usual top teams start to really come into form.

Yea I am excited and very optimistic about it.

We played very well in the Sudamericana v. Chivas last season, just happened to lose on away goals.

Houston beat Chicago 2-1 at Toyota Park. That makes 2 wins in a row. I knew they would start getting results eventually.

Chicago, like most teams, look great one game and average to poor the next. Houston's defense looks solid as ever.

I look at livescore.net and see DC winning 0-1 in the second half, turn on FSC and see Chivas winnning 3-1.

What the hell happened?

It looks like no ones on the same page as Blanco. Only problem is Blanco is not on a page, he's in outer space.

Well with the result today are we changing tune at all. Does LA still not represent the MLS? They got four goals today and none were from Beckham or Donavan.

Blanco has the football wisdom of an 80 year old but unfortunately also the legs of an 80 year old. While he makes fantastic passes, at times, he plays up to the Latino crowd is more for theatrics than execution.

That being said, I was sincerely impressed with Toyota Park's atmosphere, as always. I talked with an MLS player recently and he said aside from Toronto FC, Chicago has the 2nd best atmosphere and the Top Rated pitch quality in the league.

Went off an tangent there but never the less, I'd like to see more outta Mapp. For as much hype as he gets, he rarely shows up.

To me, given the dynamics of the salary cap & parity in the league, no one team represents our league.

One could argue Houston (given recent success) or DC (given overall success) but both have looked horrible this year, even though Houston has came on as of late. I don't want either team " representing " our league, much less a team with absolutely no defense in LA.

Damn

It's now 1-5 in the 90th minute and they are playing in Dallas. Maybe they will surprise some people this year.

Sounds like a little; S..P..F & some D...E...F, would have gone a long way in Dallas, today.

Unlucky on both accounts for Big-D.

I seriously think the MLS contacted Beckham and Blanco and told them to react wildly to everything.

Someone needs to email Mapp a youtube video of C.Ronaldo highlights. He was turning defenders around Saturday but i doubt to many Euro/South Americans would fall for the simple lalalala all Americans do.

Well, it looks like the 5-1 loss at the hands of LA (in front of a sellout crowd) was a large reason why Manager Steve Marrow was fired by FC Dallas management, on Tuesday.

Yes. That and his constant rearranging of the formation to test it out. This is supposed to be done in the pre-season. Cooper on the wings? Seriously? He tries to play this screwed up variation on English ball only he always has his tallest guy on the wings and they NEVER cross it in.
