By the way, if they are moving to just two games against each opponent, then surely the next logical step is a single table.

It pretty much already is, so they should just go ahead and do it.

Good to see, this better not be a "only because of the WC" thing.

Maybe that's what they are planning to implement and the '2 versus each opponent' thing is their way of getting the ball rolling. Wonder if the two tier structure is far off.

As far as promotion and relegation goes?

Think so.

Bullish on the new stadium — Football Partnerships

Quote:
The second, and distinctly European, feature is the fan’s proximity to the field. With the first row seven yards from the touchline and the rest ascending vertically at a steep grade, match supporters will be thrust into the action.
Quote:
“It’s all about creating atmosphere,” Andrew told us, before encouraging us to walk up from the concrete foundations of the lower (100) level to the reinforced steel and aluminum sections of the upper 200s. “Give the floor a good stomping.”

With the lot of us jumping about like children, unable to hear whatever he said next, his point was made. Red Bull Arena is going to be a loud, in-your-face, on-the-field, you-are-a-part-of-this-match kind of stadium.
Quote:
Picture over 300 video flat-screen panels throughout, field-level LED signage in both end zones and opposite player benches, two video boards on each end of the stadium, and one 360-degree wraparound message board. That’s tuned in.

Philly Stadium

Looks like it might not be completed for their first match. Who do they think they are? NJRB?

this should also be another good staidum to use for our national team with fans being so close to the pitch.

Guess I will be planning trips to Chester and Harrison or whatever next year.

The stadiums better not disappoint, and neither should my team.

Does Henry's contract end next year? Hope so.

It was a four year deal I believe. Which would mean it would be done in 2011.

Hopefully, if he is willing to move next summer after the World Cup, MLS will be smart enough to allow NY to actually purchase him, because the fee would be considerably lower.

It has to be Henry in 2011 imo, it just seems too right. Plus we have two DP spots so we can grab a 'star' for the opening of RBA, and add on Henry in 2011.

Just heard on Ives that we also are number 2 in the allocation list and have two first round draft picks, we are set up pretty well... just need the right GM/coach.

I've seen the Chiva girls before on the offside blog, this should be a league wide thing.

FCD sign their first academy player by the way.

I couldn't stand the girls at the Columbus game last year. The cheerleaders served no purpose.

I saw them in June when I went down there, they looked decent but I had pretty bad seats so I'm not sure.. the halftime show was decent.

Yeah, it is pretty good. The tempo is fast, and there a few things that need to be worked out, but its just a demo, so it will be all good in time for the actual game.

I agree. But yeah it's great. I'm still trying to get ahold of the flick pass r1+ X (on ps3). But it's really awsome and I love that they have juve in the demo so I can play Diego.
