If I can recall I went to the home opener of the Metro Stars second season.

And Caricola was in line right in front of me at the ticket pick up line. I was never so tempted in my entire life to talk trash to a player.

He was dressed in a gray suit and stuck out like I sore thumb. If he wasn't their with his family I probably would have said something.

I was thinking about voting for Mac Kandji everyday, there are strikers better than him, but with the lax defense and open space of an All-Star game, and his skill on the ball, I think he'd put on a good show given some time.

Sakiewicz: Seedorf interested in MLS

Philadelphia Union CEO Nick Sakiewicz said he spoke to Clarence Seedorf in Milan and the AC Milan midfielder is interested in playing in MLS. But Sakiewicz _ whom I know some of you MetroStar fans remember fondly from his time as GM here _ dismissed claims by Glenn Davis, host of the Sccer Hour radio show in Houston, that Seedorf would be signing with the Union. Now, it wouldn't be the first time a team exec has rubbished a report that turned out to be 100 percent true....

....If he's serious about Coming To America, he's going to make some lucky team a great Designated Player. Do you guys think he comes stateside, or is it just idle talk? And if so, where do you think he lands? Philadelphia in 2010? Beckham's replacement in Los Angeles? Maybe in New York, since Juan Carlos Osorio said Red Bull will surely want to open the stadium next year with a big-name acquisition? As far as I know, he's under contract at AC Milan until 2011. That means to even come at midseason of 2010, he'd still command a transfer fee or have to get out of the final year of his contract. Like I said, it's just a rumor; but I mention it only because Mr. NIck went on record with it. Anyway, talk to us...
