Near full slate of games today. Here is the rundown:

Toronto FC :: New England (4 PM)
DC United :: Real Salt Lake (7:30 PM)
Dallas :: Los Angeles (8:30 PM)
Houston :: San Jose (8:30 PM)
Kansas City :: Chivas USA (8:30 PM)
Colorado :: Seattle Sounders (9:30 PM)

And clearly the goal of the week was from Santino Quaranta. Considering the timing of the goal, and the fact that it was a grass cutter from 20+ yards out, makes it an easy choice.

Who won it anyways?

Damn right, United fans know how to stuff the ballots. Thats how Pontius won the week before, considering that his goal was not that good anyways.

No, because the two don't ever interfere with each other. In fact, I think it seems like ESPN wants less to do with soccer, at least thats what I get from them losing the CL rights.

I have doubts though that their coverage of MLS will be expanding anytime soon though.

Didnt ESPN reduce their overall coverge prior to this season, Dropping the Game of the Week for a game every 2-3 weeks?

No, they never had a game every week. They may have lessen the load a bit (maybe 3-4 games), but the main change was that the game of the week was not going to just be on Thursday.

Now its either Thursday, Friday, or Saturday.

Hmmm...... looking at it, maybe the did drop a lot more games than I thought. No game this week, and there wasn't one last week either if I recall correctly.

Ah, I see.

I also noticed that ESPN hadn't broadcast a game in a while, but if you look here, starting next week their schedule gets stacked.

That looks pretty good, although, a bit disappointing that they only have one in September. But ESPN has now added the Friday night college football game, and so that makes it tough to deal with.

We are on the game three times, but none after July Fourth.

TFC 3-1 New England

Joseph (13')
Guevara (14',70')
de Rosario (67')

In progress, Stefen Frei kicks the ball long.

3-1 win for Toronto. Good victory for them, while New England have not won since April 4th.

Epic Fail lineup coming up -- here we go.

Wicks, Namoff, Jakovic, Burch, Quaranta, Jacobson, Simms, Fred, Gomez, Emilio, Moreno

Subs: Kocic, Janicki, John, McTavish, Pontius, Wallace, N'Silu

Retirement team out there. Emilio + Gomez + Moreno spells trouble to me.

EDIT

RSL starting 11: Rimando, Beltran, Olave, Borchers, Russell, Johnson, Morales, Beckerman, Grabavoy, Mathis, Findley

Findley to score a brace.
----------------------------------------

Just saw this while browsing around.

Chicago centerback Bakary Soumare has been named to the roster by his country Mali for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers Sun Jun 7 v Ghana & Tue Jun 21 v Benin.

I knew he had already been capped, I just saw the post on another site and decided to slap it on here , wondering if it would cause him to miss games for Chicago.

Yeah, Fred should have done better with the chance. While it was unlikely that he was going to score with a defender on the line and Rimando recovering quickly, he should have at least got it on target.

Fine. He probably will, which is why the league need to honor those dates.

Wicks actually made a nice save on the Findley chance. You would have fancied Findley to score there though.

So this is the first MLS game I'm watching this year.

DC looks pretty well organized for the most part.
