Seriously, I'm pretty sure at least 10 people have clicked on the link, too bad there's no way to check.

It is... I just love to torture footy fans with striped American football lines on the pitch . They literally start to seizure.

If you want to watch a decent team, I suggest you don't watch United, they suck!!!

Houston and Columbus (defending champion ) should be a good one, Dallas - Chicago also...

Chicago would be a good team to watch.

Whats wrong with United though? Nevermind, we suck. Seattle would be fun to watch as well, at least for the attacking style. And Fredy!

Geeza, I feel kinda bad about trapping you and any other innocent horndogs with the promise of naked women, so I've decided to actually provide you guys with some pics of naked women.

You don't have to thank me.

Finally got done transcribing my interview with Clyde Simms. So here we go (I will probably put this in the United thread as well, but I know yous don't go over there, so, you know).

Quote:
Steven Streff: How was preparing for this season different, without the Champions League to worry?

Clyde Simms: It was huge. Obviously, we were able to ease into things a little bit more, and we were not in a hurry to get into game shape. So ultimately, we had less injuries because of that, and guys are in better shape, and all around, it was a much better situation.

SS: Last year, you played all but three minutes in the league, and you also broke the United record for minutes played overall. Do you expect the same this year, starting all the games, and playing a lot of minutes overall?

CS: Yeah, as a player, that is a goal, to be on the field as much as possible. I love to play, and I play soccer to be able to play and to be the field, and so obviously, I want to get as much playing time as possible, but sometimes its tough when you are playing three games a week. And it can be very strenuous on your body. But I think this year, we have a lot more depth in our team, so I feel like there will be some times, where last year I had to play, whereas this year I might get a break here and there, which will be nice.

SS: This will be your fifth season with the club. Did you ever expect when you were playing in college or in the USL to have such an impact at an MLS club?

CS: No, not at all. Right when I finished my college career, I did not think I was going to be playing professionally anywhere actually. But I had a couple of lucky breaks, and I am here now. Sometimes, I still think back, and I still can't believe where I am today.

SS: Will having a couple of new guys (due to injuries) in the side make the first game a bit more difficult?

CS: No, we have had a good amount of time together, and I think the guys who will be stepping in are good players, and they are excited to be out there. Its the first game for everyone, so there will be some of those jitters, but with the calibre of players they are, I think they will do well.

SS: What is the mood like amongst the team before tomorrows game? A bit of excitment, or maybe some anxiety?

CS: We are excited, and I think we have started to form a little rivalry with the Galaxy. We always love playing against them, we know that its going to be a good game, so we are very excited to get the season started. Its also been a long preseason, and you practice and practice so much, and at some point you want to get on the field, and tomorrow is our opportunity to do that.

SS: Both the games last year against the Galaxy were high scoring. Do you expect a lot of goals again tomorrow?

CS: Hopefully on our side. We go into every game striving to get the shutout, and allow as few as possible. But they have some tough players, one in Landon Donovan, which is going to be tough. But we want to do what we can to keep the shutout, and on the other end, score as many goals as possible.

SS: The US National team has a lot of games over the summer, including the Gold Cup, Confederations Cup, and a couple of World Cup Qualifiers. It has been about four years since your one and only cap, but has anyone talked to you about possibly playing in any of the games this summer?

CS: No, I have not heard anything on that yet. Its one of those things where you get a call, a few weeks before the game, but I am not too worried. I think if I perform well on the field during the season, which is my first priority, with DC United, then I think hopefully the national team calls will come, after that. But its one of the things that I try not to think about too much.

SS: The first MLS game was the other night, and did you or any of the team catch the game?

CS: I was not able to see it, but some of the other guys saw it, and we talked about it, as a team. And it sounded like Seattle is a tough team. I am sure I will watch it at some point. But yeah, they are a tough team. But we talked about how they played their first game at home, and obviously, we are on the road against the Galaxy, and tried to compare the way they came out to play with the way the Galaxy is going to come out and play, and we know that there will be a lot of energy. You can also tell that MLS is getting better and better, each year, which is exciting as a player.

SS: Is the first game any harder to play on the road than it is at home?

CS: No, not really. For me, after being in the league for a few years, you get used to playing on the road and at home. And for me, this is my eighth or ninth time at the Home Depot Center, so I am familiar with the field and the fans. So, from being in the league, I think I have a little advantage with that. But I think as a team, it can be difficult. I think you have to take a different game plan going into the game, a different one than you would normally have at home. So there will be some differences for sure.

I think they should water the field every once in a while.

No, for goal.com.

Now I have to put it into an article, and hopefully it shows up on the site sometime tonight/early tomorrow.

Btw, just got my online subscription, and the Seattle game was archived. Anyone know how long the games are up? And I think I will go with the Chicago and Dallas game at 830.

Nice, how'd you become a writer for goal.com?

I'm gonna watch Chicago - Dallas also, Houston has missed two open headers already, really should've done better with those

Just random. pruient from SP (or Zac if you know him by name) is a associate editor there. And that is what I am going to school (writing -- and more specifically sports -- even more specifically soccer if it can somehow be profitable in my life).

So I kind of gave it a chance, and my season preview for United was published, as well as those MLS predictions (which I was a part of).

So now I get credentials to go to the United home games. This was my first interview though, and it only took about a week to get.

That's news to me. Glad to hear it, though, because it was a huge flaw in my eyes with last years subscription.

That's cool, I'm actually going to college for journalism also, sports too. Havn't gotten anything published (relating to sport, just articles on different topics) yet.

Sigh, VDB with Dallas, such a big loss to our squad.

Wow, you really notice how bad Houston's field is once you compare it with the one at PHP

Is Chicago out there with 5 defenders?

Pause
Conde
Segares
Ward
Soumare

are all listed. Or is one of them in the midfield.

Nice chance from Gaven.

Er....... Cooper with about a 60 yard goal there. What was Busch doing?

1-0 to Dallas in the 10th minute.

That was just amazing

Nyarko with the start as well. Nice.

Too bad Cooper wont get as much pub with that goal as Becks did last season when he finished on an empty net.

Well, Rolfe and Blanco are both absent from the starting lineup...so they are definitely more defensive heavy. Pappa can bring some good creativity but being down 1-0 in the 10th minute doesn't look well.

As far as I know, both Rolfe and Blanco are available, just not for the entire 90 minutes.

Colorado has one of the best holding midfielders in Pablo and someone who I think can still become a star, in Colin Clark.

Certainly something to still tune in for & given their fantastic stadium, enough of a reason to go out and support them.
