End of the first half. Not a very good game, but Seattle won't mind. Some changes are needed for NY if they are going to get anything from the game.

Garber is ****ing himself with joy at the fact that Seattle is succeeding right now.

Yup, NY are definitely doing terrible. I do enjoy an easy win though! Montero has been doing well. I want to see a bit more from Le Toux though.

Seattle nearly broke there on the break. Couple of quick touches, but that last one was too strong.

NY are going to struggle if Rojas is playing that deep. He needs to be farther forward to create for Angel.

Looks like some of that Seattle energy has worn off. Now the game has settled down a bit. Which means that they need to be careful now. NY is starting to string some passes together.

I am surprised how well the Seattle defense has looked. Although, maybe its NY making them look good. Hard to tell.

But in any case, they are frustrating Angel.

Yeah Angel is frustrated. Its affecting him.

Seattle defense a bit exposed there. And then a nice move by Montero.

Game is opening up a bit again.

Freeeeeeeeeeedy.

Terrible turnover, but nice pressure from Montero. Nice finish too.

Levesque (I think) on for Montero.

Fantastic debut for Fredy.

Great game. Excellent start for Seattle and for the season itself.

Same here. I don't have a local team so I've always been unbiased about MLS. This Seattle team really had me excited, though.

Aww.... ****

Not the way I wanted to start the season, defense looked terrible, midfield looked lost, forwards got no service.

Goldwaithe was horrible, Rojas' positioning was that of a defensive mid than an attacking mid, Cepero did good, second goal could've been stopped but I don't blame him, too many runs from Seattle midfield, and too much wide open space in the midfield, overall it was just bad... we looked alright for 2 minutes when Kandji and Angel forced saves, other than that we looked ****ty.

I really liked watching Montero play, I'm surprised he wasn't snatched up Arsenal yet

But... remember we still don't have Celedes, Johnson or Pacheco, this defense can only get better.

Oh, congratulations to Seattle.

i think it was more of a awful performance from ny than a great one for seattle. this montero kid looks like he can really be something special. especially if ljungberg and him can get some chemistry together.

I can't wait.
I like the direction the league is going in. Seattle, now Vancouver and Portland. Should be exciting.

Agreed, we were missing like 5 starters, and the team looked very off, once we get the suspensions, injuries, and work visas in order... along with some chemistry going we'll be fine.

BTW Dustin, what area are you from?

That Cuban kid, Alonso I think, played realllly well.. he frustrated the **** out of our midfielders

Damn, that's kind of rough (soccer wise) I guess Chicago would be the closest soccer city around... ever been to a game down there?

Meh, at least you had Brett Farve (when he was good! )

No, I've never been to a game. I'd like to go sometime for the experience and the atmosphere. Although I couldn't see myself supporting Chicago because Wisconsin folk generally don't like Chicago sports teams, I'm no exception.

But yeah, it is kinda rough soccer wise. I wish Milwaukee had a team.

... And I don't like American football.
