well he is a MANUTD 7
but he did say that when he came to UTD he wanted to take the number 28 but SAF said "NO" and gave him the number 7 and Ronaldo was very honoured

No way.
Quaresma was kept quiet basically all night at Porto by Diarra when he was playing at right back except for one instant where he hit the crossbar (Pretty good shot with the outside of his boot too), an he scored against us at home early on, then disappeared an kept moaning every time he lost the ball. Ronaldos come leaps an bounds since his diving and cheating days, still does it every so often now, but he's calmed it down alot an turned into a world class player. Both quality players, but i'd take Ronaldo every day over Quaresma. |

Agreed.
Plus Quaresma seems to love the skill of slicing the ball with the outside of his right boot. Doesnt know how to use his left foot

on the subject of 1 footed players, someone brought up that Messi was 1 footed and his goal vs Levante clearly brought that up not a single touch with his weaker foot cant remember which foot it was though

![]() @ Supa - As for Quaresma...he can use his left-foot, you're just lalalalalalaed enough to write him off by only watching those 2 champions league matches...oh dear, stick to saying Eidur is the greatest, Supa...stick to that. I swear people today...you guys rate players worser than the damn EA dev's.

Im sorry but when I see someone take afree kick and bend it reverse with the outside of their boot, it means theyd rather have him do that than ANY left footer take the kick. I neevr said Eidur was the greatest, but certainly more respectable than a Barca reserve.

Quaresma has managed to express not one or two but every single celebrity athlete cliche, day in day out. his workrate, attitude, heart, end product, and vision are absolutely hideous. among if not the world's worst. he is a rap video cliche said it before as you all know and it's deserved that big club football has passed him over

I for one and sick and tired of watching him dribble through entire sides to yet again finish effortlessly with his left foot. how lacking in imagination and one-dimensional he is. he'll never be a great player playing like this. get rid of him |

My high school assistant coach gave me some of the best footballing advice Ive ever heard:
If you can only play with one of your feet, you're only half the player.

Adriano had a jack hammer like left foot, I bet defenders were soiling themselves whenver he got close to the penalty area, i'd take him at Chelsea, would fit perfectly well an might get some first team football.

We can't rely on Drogba all the time, an Adrianos probably a better finisher than Droggie.
Don't see any reason why they can't play together either, i'd quite happily swap Sheva for Adriano... waste of money, but hey, we can afford to do it, an it'd cause a big stir up with the AC fans too. :-) |

Adriano and Drogba upfront would be a power house
but i dont agree that Adriano is a better finisher, i mean 30+ goals Drogba got last season, sayin that Adriano used to score for fun 2 years ago so its hard to say

Drogba still misses alot of sitters, in his first 2 years or so with us, he could have notched 50+ for us, especially in his first season, Robben an Duff basically left him an open net an he still missed on more than one occassion.
He looked absoloutly phenomenal last season, scored some belters from outside the area, but I still don't think he's as good a finisher as say Henry... Adriano has the ability to do that though. He could turn out to be a Sheva for us if we did get him, but i'd be willing to risk it, cause he just looks built for the Premiership, Milan cashed in on an ageing player who was suffering with injuries going into the World Cup... was always a bad sign for us come to think of it. |

as for the Set-peices...yeah he uses the Trivela on them aswell, instead of his leftfoot...but don't get it twisted cus Quaresma has scored before with his left-foot, and uses it when dribbling very often. Our only other player who'd be suitable for taking set-peices with a left-foot is Lisandro Lopez...and i'm not gonna comment on how his first set-peice went ....that's why we use Quaresma.
