tbh i think Babel plays better on the wing..he played up front in a couple of the cup matches and he didnt look brilliant...hes better whenhe gets the chance to run and people rather than chasing a ball through like Torres

But he has ALOT of pace, and showed that against Arsenal with that class goal.

I'd be really interested to see Babel and Torres working together up front. He's shown his ability to finish, and given more chances i know he would be able to put more goals in. having both of them up front with their great pace would be awesome for getting past the back line.

Babel's skills on the wing are just in the development phase, he has pace and footwork, but he needs to just be able to put them together and use them to his advantage. I think that when he gets more experience he'll be a great force on the wing.

I think liverpool have been also linked with an Italian left back from Udinese named Dossena. I spent some time watching him last night in a replay of them playing AC Milan and he looked quite good. He was making great runs down the wing, and also provided some well placed service into the box creating chances. If his performances are usually like the one i saw last night, i think he would be a great pick up.

i would like to see what babel's like in the forward role, also to get bently in to sort out those wings.

---Insua--------Skrtel---------Carragher-------Finnan--

----------------------Reina----------------------------

And I know you dont like the idea of Barry Masch, but just think of the combination between he and Gerrard.
Correct, those are the kinds of guys we need to get. David Villa is quite lethal up front, and with guys like Gerrard and Barry playing them into the box, its going to be easy as pie.

And we have an advantage over some other big clubs because the Spanish players love Rafa.

Well it seem almost certian we will be signing Dossena from Udinese so its likely him and Degen will be rafas first choice full backs so hopefully start working on the wings now

we would all like to see them splash the cash but the rumour about Chelsea is alod of codswallop...we should bid fo Dos Santos for Barca and maybe go for etoo but apart from that IMO we should go for premiership proven players first like Bentley

Itandje was horrid this season, Martin looks to be going on loan so we need to bring in another keeper to keep Reina on his toes. Benitez is looking to sign Bordeaux's keeper last I heard.

Plays for Espanyol, quite a tidy player, played for Man City a few years ago and was quite decent for them. He has improved since then...

He's better than Pennant anyway, so he's worth a shot..
