I like what I've seen from Aquilani, admittedly not much. What about his injury record though, we can't really have a crock replacing Alonso.

No he won't.. He gets injured too easily, and is nowehere near the level Xabi is.. Otherwise Real would be after him instead, as he's a cheaper player..

When aquilani is fit he starts for roma.

Doesnt mean anything though. Hes always rushed back by roma staff just like they do to totti.

We have possibley the best medical staff in england and maybe europe so I say go for him, he could easily replace xabi and romas boss has said he is beginning to get over his injuries now.

Doesn't mean anything.. It does when you're going to spend £20m on him, as that's what Roma want.. He's not worth it, even if he is brilliant when he's fit, and going by his past seasons that's hardly ever..

And thats the whole point you look past the injuries when hes that old. Hes not like owen where hes 29 so you know he still suffer from them the lads 24 so he can easily overcome them and spalleti has said he is very much injury free now.

We dont know how much roma want either. The prices being banded about have been anywhere between 13m to 20m.

Whether he is 29 or 24, you can't spend that amount of money on a player who has been injury prone practically his whole career..

And as for people saying he is injury free, and won't be injury prone in the future, how would they know?.. He has been suffering from injuries for most of his career, and it is likely that he will do until he retires.. You don't just lose injury proneness..

Yes you do through good care and kwality medical staff. del piero is virtually injury free now. Xabi has got over his foot injuries and torres seems less prone to them now (touch wood).

Put it this way if rafa wants this guy as xabis replacement I am 100% behind him.

Good medical care will only decrease the severity of the injury.. It's tremendously hard to prevent injuries, especially if they are muscle injuries.. It took years for Owen to get over his, and he still suffers from them now..

Yeah, I agree, if Rafa wants him, I'm behind it.. But I'd prefer we get someone like Javi Martinez than Aquilani..

fair enough however Id just state that martinez is more closer to gerrard than xabi.

From the fact that we havent had a player under our current staff you has had a liverpool career blighted by injuries. But I do suppose a blue nose like you would obviously disagree.

No idea.. Tbh our medical staff aren't that great, they mis diagnosed and mis diagnosed Kewell to the point where he had to go back to Australia to seek proper treatment.

Owen was never our player he was a blue nose who rose to the really big games once in a blue moon. Never a true liverpool legend like fowler, gerrard and to a greater extent barnes and dalglish.

Yeah is that so We were the ones who advised kewell to go back because we knew the basis of the injury however he just needed to see a specialist. BTW our current medicall staff have only been at the club for about half of rafas tenure. Also our medical staff where the ones who finally solved fowlers injury problems when he returned.

Kewell brought it on himself.. He went swanning off to Australia to play some meaningless friendly, and then come back with another knock.. All this lalalala about Kewell being mis-diagnosed was just an excuse because he never really made it at us..

Owen was always an england player first and foremost. He was never like Fowler, Gerrard etc where he was loved by everyone.

Edit: or what kop said

Ease up. I'm so sorry I don't know the history of our medical staff. And idc what you say, Owen was and always will be one of the best players to ever wear our jersey.
