Madrid want the best spanish players so they can pay massive or lalalalaoff simple as that. 35mill+ actually make it 40+ its not like they dont have the money.
lalalala it 50 ------------------ http://www.sporten.dk/fodbold/dansk-talent-til-liverpool According to local newspaper Judske Vestkysten Esbjerg fB U16 talent Nikolaj Køhlert is on the verge of signing a 3-year contract with Liverpool after impressing on a trial. It is believed that the clubs have come to an agreement over the fee and the player will be having talks with Liverpool over personal terms when he returns from a vacation in a weeks time. He is described as an energetic midfielder with good technique and an eye for goal. It is thought that he will be spending a year at the academy before moving into the reserves. I agree with what you're saying. They've showed they've got the cash to spend stupidly, let's bleed them dry.If they can spend 30m on a striker who hasn't really proved anything to the world(although he may have massive potential), why should we accept the same/less for a player who has had an amazing season and showed he can be one of the best midfielders in the world?

I can't see you getting more than 35 if Xabi does go, I mean they paid around 60 for Kaka, and I'd expect him to move for around twice what Xabi does... If you lose him I think any slim chance you had of winning the league goes with him mind.

This is the reported conversation from the initial Xabi negotiations.

Rafa has dealt with Agger where as in the past he may have gone on the cheap or gone on a free. One of our star players looks to be leaving and we on to receiving a record transfer. P.S That supposedly happened in June some time.

I'm pretty confident Masch will stay and it seems the speculation has come from his lalalalaty contract, which hopefully will be sorted. Masch alongside any half decent passer shoudn't hurt us too much if Rafa has a good attacker in place. Man U won the league with a midfield which included Anderson and an aging Scholes.
