David Villa or Aguero would be ideal with us reverting to a 4-1-2-1-2 formation. Don't want it to happen though.

i we lose mascher (he has said he wants to stay now, he will not leave now) or alonso, i would like us to take the opportunity and buy a striker like villa, llorente, aguero or maybe negredo. along with that i would love us to get javi martinez, hes a talent, and would be a suitable replacement in CM.

Llorente and Negredo would only be good enough for our bench

Masch or Alonso, if either goes will go for 20m plus at least. We can do much better than Negredo and Llorente.

negredo maybe, but llorente is good enough to start for us. he is exactly the type of striker we would need, a big, strong player who could flourish in the premiership. what youve got to remember is that he plays for a poor team, with th only notable players being him and martinez.

anyway, hes good enough for spain, and is easily their 3rd choice forward. he often comes on as a sub.

standing at 6ft5 he would offer us something different, and he would make a massive impact.

We've had that with Crouch and Rafa obviously doesn't like that type of player. Plus at some point we'd get the route one football showing up and we dont want that.

but crouch isnt strong at all, and he isnt good at heading for a big player. his main part of his play is an impeccable first touch. hes nothing like llorente.

Like jammakane said, they are completely different.. Llorente has a superb touch, like Crouch, but can head the ball, outmuscle opponents, and score goals.. He did very well for a poor Bilbao side.. He is pretty much a poor mans Torres, just a lot bigger..

I think it is great, this guy is supposed to have a lot of potential! I don't know how he plays but hopefully we will have another Spanish superstar in a few years time!

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reiterated his interest in Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano.

The Argentine is highly rated by the UEFA Champions League, Primera Liga and Copa del Rey winners as they look to reinforce ahead of the defence of an unprecedented Treble.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is desperate to hold onto the defence-minded Mascherano, who is an international team-mate of Barcelona star Lionel Messi, and insists he is not for sale at any price.

But Laporta, who handed holding midfielder Yaya Toure a new contract on Saturday, remains a fan of the 25-year-old, and could yet consider making the Premier League Reds an offer.
He said :"Mascherano is a close friend of Leo Messi. We will see what happens. He's a player I like very much."

Mascherano has previously confessed he is uncertain if his long-term future lies on Merseyside to increase speculation he could leave Anfield when his contract expires.

Real Madrid have also been linked with the ex-West Ham, River Plate and Corinthians player as the Bernabeu giants continue their lavish summer spending.
