I think people are being way to harsh on Riera. He's given us what we needed all along down that left hand side. Alot better than a season of Babel and Benayoun cutting inside all the time anyway

If Babel was given a run of games im pretty sure he would shut alot of his critics up.

I would be gutted if Ryan left as he has bags of ability and is at the right age to improve even more and be an important player for Liverpool.

In 5 years Benitez has failed to sign a Successfull Left-Winger.

In 5 Years Benitez has failed to sign a Succesfull Right-Winger.

There the facts.

What we tend to forget is Benitez has had a hell of alot of Money in the past 5 years, and imo he hasnt done a good enough job with the money he's had. Facts are there lads, with all the money he's failed to a sign a successful RB Or LB. RW Or LW?...

Now fair enough he's had some great buys, but not enough, my argument is right, we havent won a trophy in the 3 years? Am i right.
No successful fullback? Aurelio and Arbeloa for £2.5m, how is that not a success?

Riera has done enough to show he can be a success here and whether Kuyt was bought here as a striker or not he's been a success since he moved to the wing. What about Benayoun? He can play wide and this last half of the season he's been maybe our best player.

What about Garcia? He played wing regularly and was vital in the champions league win, I'd call him a success.

Also out of your list you can't call Crouch a flop. Performed decent then moved on for a profit...same for Bellamy. Kuyt and Riera definately not flops, Babel still has time to turn it around, same with Lucas, Voronin was free, Degen was free.

So in conclusion, lalalala post.

After seeing this on another forum, who do you think should play as our CB's next season Dave?

Agger and Carragher for me...but start to play Skrtel with Agger more regularly too.

I'd say Agger against the weaker teams who like to park the bus and Skrtel when we have a more defensive approach towards games like against manu, Chelsea etc..

Ohhh come of it, take your F...kin red tinted glasses off mate. If you think Arbeloa and Aurelio are the answer's to our full-back position's then fine, its your opinion.

Don't start telling me Bellamy, Crouch etc were all success's? Bellamy was at us 1 season and proved he wasnt good enough at top Level, Crouch was with us 2 years and fair enough he did alright crouchy but imo he aint good enough for Liverpool and that was proved.

And about the free players, doesnt matter wether there free or not theyve been bad buys simple as that, in the last 5 years weve spent more money than Man utd=Fact, so dont start saying we havent had the money etc because we have, Benitez imo just isnt very good in the transfer market.

Still a great manager don't get me wrong, but his weak point is buying players.

Rafa also has a lot of success stories though, take Alonso for example.

Seems like you guys are buggered financially. It's a shame because I want Liverpool to win the league next year.

I can't remember the last time Stevie turned up against the mancs till this season, same goes for Nando. What i'm trying to get at is the player is still trying to find his feet in the english game and for 5 mill he hasn't been as bad as some of the players i can think of that we've payed over the odds for.
He's had more bad games than good.

Had a great start at us, then slowly got worse? there meant to get better arnt they? if anything Riera has gone downhill.

I watched him the final day of the season against spurs when he came on for Benayoun and the lad just wenrt at the races's at all.

Shocking.

Listen mate. You're weeping about all the 'horrible' signings Rafa has done in the past. What I'm trying to get at here is that its what he does now.

Yes? No?

I have to agree with you though on some points. Rafa doesnt really know what he's doing in the market. He'll make up for it for this coming season(Hopefully).

Oh yeah'.. Calm down?
